Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I am confused . I am trying to work this deal on eBay - I see 2 options in Checkout - PayPal and PayPal Credit. If I select PayPal, it charges me right away, should I select PayPal Credit then? There is no PayPal in 4 option
Yeah, PayPal credit is different. No deals with that. The issue of Pay in 4 option not being available is common. See if you have any messages about unusual activity in your messages and make sure you have saved the deal. It will show it is saved if you open the offer.

He's not asking about getting points more quickly. He's concerned that paying the rest off would void his points for not letting the 3 remaining autopayments complete on schedule.

But, I paid off 2 purchases all at once, and my points are still pending.

So, no worries going ahead and paying off the balance early.
So do you think I can do this with Oura ring. Since its $249, I can a year of subscription for $69 bringing it over $300 but I am thinking the higher the payment the more likely it will trigger AMEX credit

What do you mean? I don't know if you can pay it off with Amex. I used Discover. I know Chase won't work.

Hate to add anymore to this debate, but PayPal has an issue on their hands if they stop giving 20% CB at a max of $250. The headline for the offer says "Get 20% on up to max 1,250 spend per transaction." That per transaction part certainly seems to indicate the $250 cap is per transaction and not cumulative. Not to take away from any other interpretations here, but this is what is being displayed on the main offer page (most won't dig into the fine print)

Bought an iPhone with the pay in 4. Shows points pending. The purchase was ~$1290. The initial $1500 pay in 4 limit went to a $300 remaining spend limit but it just went back up to $1500. If I were to buy an iPad for $900 will I get 20% back on the second pay in 4? There has been a ton of back and forth on this. Has anyone confirmed?

There's no issues. 'Up to' means that it can be one transaction of 1250 or multiple that add up to 1250. as long as it's mentioned in the fine print max 1250 reward then they're fine

Has this worked on a $1500 purchase for someone who just made a PayPal account? I'm making a new PayPal account but not sure if my Pay in 4 application will get accepted.

I haven't read thru all the posts but the way it's set up is confusing not necessarily the wording. The "normal" offer period is Oct 6 to Dec 31. The terms state the max total cashback during the normal offer period is 5% of $5,000 spent ($250). The special offer period runs Nov 17 thru Dec 8. That offer states 20% on max $1250 spend per transaction. There is no mention of a different overall max for the special period just a per transaction max so we should assume it goes back to the $5,000 overall max spend. But if you spend all $5,000 during the 20% bonus period there is no wording that suggests you would not get the $1000 in cashback. So if you spend $5,000 between Nov 17 and Dec 8 you will get $1,000 back. That's assuming you do not spend over $1250 in one transaction to hit the $5k limit (if they correct it currently paying over cap per transaction).

Those purchases are supposed have the $1250 cap but that clearly wasn't set up correctly as I received $286 in points on a $1433 purchase. What should happen is I get $250 for the $1250 transaction max plus 5% on the remaining $183 for $259.15 total cashback. Then my $1433 is subtracted from my $5,000 total offer period max spend.

Those with Platinum have a deal where they get $200 credit for purchase at Oura. So I did my 4 pmts with Oura but not sure if it will trigger the Amex credit. I see the pending points for the Paypal points

Could you share where this is this from? Trying to figure out if it's an AI generated response or something from Paypal themselves. Thanks!
