Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

How does the cash back part of the deal work? Does it just show up as a Paypal balance? Can the cash back be used toward the future pay later transactions or do you have to use it in future purchases from third party stores?

Same. This whole business has been super frustrating because these denials can seemingly occur for innocuous reasons. For example, mine occurred after switching which credit card I was using during the payment process despite both cards having been confirmed in my Paypal account for years. Other people apparently got denied after going in and out of the payment screen too many times. And people have also been screwed by merchants canceling an order, which happened to me with Staples. For some, this has been an incredible deal. For others, a bit of a frustrating nightmare.
Yeah, Paypal's algorithms are weird.

The terms of this promo is questionable too. Maybe we'll find out in ~90d that the funds for this were exhausted days ago and it's a bait&switch to buy things that will be out of return policy or gifted away for the holidays already.. We'll still be on the hook for payment at that point.

I don't see why it wouldn't work with all sites that accept PP. The full price is paid by PP/loan company and we're paying PP/loan co back. But who knows

So many people talking about buying gift cards with this promo, but I'm worried about PayPal not honoring it due to the fine print of the deal. To roll the dice or not?

I wouldn't, it says clearly it can't be used for that, a lot of people not caring to read the terms are going to be complaining and mad once the points are reversed lol

Evidently having a business acct won't allow you in on this deal. I had my acct downgraded to personal and I see this deal in my Rewards but now all I see is Pay in 3. lol Why can't I have PAY in 4 like everyone else?

I'm not giving up. I even put my primary payment from Chase to my bank instead and that didn't help either.

Is there a minimum you have to have in your cart? I tried over $200 and that isn't triggering it for me either.

Just tried Target with a 320.00 order. It actually stated in Paypal that Pay in 4 wasn't available. How do we know where we can use this? Is it just hit or miss with everyone? Some stores will work for some. We just have to keep trying each store that accepts Paypal? This is crazy.
mine is a business acct and it works fine

This whole PayPal pay in 4 is so stupid. I was shopping with BestBuy online, all the way to the final checkout page, saw pay in 4, realized I was with pickup instead of shipping, hit back button, switched to shipping, went all the way and pay in 4 never showed again in 24 hours, fu*k Payapl.
