Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

can I make the payment to pay off the loan from paypal via credit card?
Discover worked, Chase isn't allowed, even for a later payment attempt.

No, it's not too small, I used it for less than that. But if it stops showing up somewhere, it might mean it's not going to show anywhere for hours.

So I saved the offer and tried to buy something in paypal and the buy now pay later option does not show up. There are buy in 4 but no buy now pay later. I then checked the account and the buy now pay later is saved. What is going on?

NVM. I read the posts and it says choose pay in 4. Then the rewards show up right away.

Guys, this is a massive thread to get some clarity re my first order using this PP promo... please provide a quick guidance..

Need to purchase a laptop for my parents from Staples. After selecting PayPal, should I pick "Pay in 4" option? Once done do the points show up right away at the PP site? Thanks!

You need to SAVE the offer. And then if you open it again, it should show that it's saved. See attached.

Yes click pay in 4. Points are currently showing as pending for me.

Was it for Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly? The message you get should say. I had that for Pay in Monthly at first, and the Pay in 4 came back by the next day, but never Pay Monthly again. Then it happened to me with Pay in 4 about 2 1/2 days ago, and now I have neither option.

I've researched into it and found references that it is automated in their system and could take weeks or months to recover the option, depending on the cause and how serious it considers the unusual activity.

Just one more data point here - I was over $250 points cashback from my last purchase. I made another purchase and it now shows full points pending despite being over the disputed max. Obviously they are just pending so we will see.
To clarify, you maxed out the $250 back on your first transaction. And now you were able to max it out again on a second transaction? Someone earlier said he made multiple small transactions and his final one, he only got the difference up to the $250 limit. I wonder if you hav to hit that max first before it resets

So what is the general consensus regarding paying in 4 but not getting any points pending?

Okay. I have my bank account attached to the PayPal but do not have any CC attached to it.

I do see Pay in 4 and says Preapproved in the Pay Later section. Would that work?

And can I use a Cashback Site to do the purchase? Thanks!!!

Thanks. Even with Oura (just to test), I see Buy Now Pay Later but it shows "Pay Monthly
$25.45/mo for 12 months or as low as 0% APR. Learn more " Oura worked yesterday but I had to cancel the order

anyone canceling their own orders are running the risk of having their accounts flagged because I'm sure there are those who are doing it hoping to keep the points.
