Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Has anyone had success getting this to work on a gift card purchase?
No one has received their points yet. It takes 90 days. Have people purchased gift cards and are the points pending? Yes. No one knows what will happen.

Can this be used across multiple transactions?
So for instance a total of 10+ purchases. Some of them low $$ value and some high $$.
Or is this offer limited to just 4 purchases? I guess the real question is whether to wait for a high $$ purchase to use this offer? Thanks.

Does this deal work when paying paypal invoices from merchants? Just wanted to make sure the seller didn't need to be a .com
One of the merchants I do business with doesn't have an e-storefront, but invoices me when I want to purchase.

What is the best "stack" you guys have gotten with this, using CC offers, CB site, etc, with this?

Also, how do we know if the offer hasnt already met the overall max redemptions, and the pendings will just drop off later?

This whole Paypal cachback thing is a complete joke. My account worked for exactly one transaction before losing all the pay now buy later options for 'suspicious activity.' We tried to salvage the purchase using my wife's and parents' accounts, but every single one was either flagged for suspicious activity or rejected at the credit check for the transaction cost being too high. You can keep your $150 the stress isn't worth it. Was hoping to time this with a black Friday deal at Walmart but by the time this gets resolved, it'll be too late. Also even new accounts get the same error, but atleast the error is relevant at that point.

Really regretting using this at Walmart. Got the Pay in 4 option, then got declined for the initial payment as my Robinhood card suddenly said I can't use this for "loan and tax payments."

I used the same card for two previous Pay in 4 loans that went through successfully. Added a new card, and it went through, but then the item sold out during checkout so the entire process was cancelled.

Then Pay in 4 disappeared and I still have this pending Pay in 4 from Walmart that didn't go through just sitting there.

It came back maybe half a day later, tried it again with the new card, got declined. Paypal then sent me a letter saying they couldn't approve it due to: "Number of recent applications submitted."

Which was literally just the one from Walmart that didn't go through and another test order under $100.

Very frustrating, I assume it will come back whenever the failed Pay in 4 drops off, but what a mess lol

This is amazing, if I would only remember to choose the PayPal option when buying things online!

No one has actually received the points but pending; so none could confirm if points will actually come through, who knows but nothing to lose if buying gift cards.

Wanted to add another data point:
- Purchased ~$1K worth of furniture in one Pay in 4 transaction, pending points.
- Purchased ~$300 in another Pay in 4 transaction, pending points.
- Purchased ~$1K office chair in third Pay in 4 transaction, pending points.
- Tried 4th transaction worth $150, Pay in 4 no longer shows, only Pay Monthly.

For the first 3 transactions, I instantly got the 20% pending points exceeding ~$2.3K total worth of purchases.
So your saying youre going to earn 20% back on more then $1250 worth of purchases? Curious, how much time in between transactions?

Stupid AI did it 'We regret that we are unable to approve your request at this time for the following reason:
Application information tied to unusual activity.'

Yes, look in your PayPal account, there is an approval limit. Mine is $3100.00
Do you mean Paypal credit card account? Otherwise, where do I find this limit?

It was a link to an external hosting site, and now the image is not longer there. But some others have mentioned experiencing this as well.
You've been taking advantage this right? Does your activity history show it, image?

No cancellations and denial from PayPal?

1.5B is a lot to spare so makes sense to be repeatable but I would also think PayPal wants to minimize the number of that total used too lol. But if they have large user base it also makes sense to limit it to per account heh.

Well anyway, thanks for being active in the thread none the less
