Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

This may be answered already but the thread is huge. So I saved the offer in my PayPal account. When I make a purchase at any merchant that accepts PayPal, does it show that I'm using this 20% offer or can I just choose the 4 payment but now pay later and it will apply the 20% promo?

thank you, is it normal to see 1399 points pending for 1399$ transaction? I am super confused.
that's 1%

if it were the 20% you would see 27980

there are 1% offers on some sites

Up to $1250 spend is per transaction. Reads to me as if it can be used multiple times. This is going to be quite good - like almost as good as the Bing 30% cashback from way back when.Edit: Sounds like it's total spend of $1250, but can be spread across multiple purchases. Still pretty darned great!
New terms just rolled out. One spend total now. So like me, if you've already used it once, that's all they allow. I'm kinda bummed I wasted the deal on a $250 purchase.

They changed the offer this morning (as the terms say they can do at any time).
Thanks. I guess I'll resurrect my other 4 paypal accounts from 12 years ago.

You have one purchase to get the 20% and the offer is done. make it worthwhile The merchant does not show the 20%, but if you saved it it's there for one use

No it won't say anything, but as long as you meet the requirements the points should show pending in your Paypal account pretty quickly.

So basically those who took the risk and made multiple purchases worth tens of thousands or thousands of dollars likely got an easy 20% back in points on them and get to keep them. So some people out there probably saved over a thousands bucks if they made multiple purchases close to the $1250 limit per transaction. Those are the real slickdealers right there Smilie I salute you all!
AirPods Pro 3 for the fiancées Xmas gift, several Walmart video games, a ps pro late last night combined with a cap one offer, and another Walmart order for a 5080 at like 2 am last night, also combined with $245 back from cap one. Woke up to that email today and realized yes- that was a slick deal game of the system I pulled off!

well my offer says completed, so I am assuming I am done.

my wife's had a purchase that got cancelled by best buy (she has not had a purchase in a long time, so they must have flagged here for some reason) so the money went back to paypal. shows pending points that I am sure will disappear with the passing of time.

they 20% offer is still valid (as in not completed like mine), but not sure if I should use it. she was shot down for Payin4 for that first bestbuy purchase (had to do monthly). I am not sure I should try again at least I cannot at bestbuy as they will cancel the order again.

I'm surprised it lasted this long. I hope they honor all of the previous purchases before terms were changed and don't start canceling points.
The simple answer is yes, based on their last mass mailing...

Sounds like you got a 1% offer, maybe some other rewards offer that they also had for that store?

The pay in 4 offer should specifically say 20% for using pay in 4 with the pending points.

Actually, I just logged into my wife's account and the offer is there to still activate. So I still have a chance to "go big" using her account. Hopefully you have the same luck.
