Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

The original offer disappeared and another one appeared that's 20% for only 1 purchase. Did the other one get used up or did they retroactively nerf the offer?
They changed the terms because people were abusing the offer(sd effect) so if you did some before today you are good for the points, if you didn't you get only one pay in 4 or monthly and that's it.

I went through Samsung phone purchase but didn't finalize because I wanted to check an item in cart. That caused pay4 to put a pre-authorization on my PayPal account. Now I can't get pay4 to show up (as I think it detects I had made a purchase).

Does anyone know how to get pay4 option back?

You have to wait for the auth to clear out which will probably happen after the expiration date of the offer. And most likely it won't make you eligible for the promo again anyway. Can try contacting them when they're open next and see.

Make sure Paypal isn't saved to your Walmart account at all. Go to your account and remove it as a payment option. Then as you're checking out select Paypal and it will ask you to login and confirm how you want to pay. Pay in 4 will be there.
Thank you for the explanation!

Use a bank account, none of those cards will work. They'll basically only accept cards that charge them very low transaction fees and have plenty of credit available on them.
Which includes their own PayPal Mastercard, SMH.

For individual cases, I would use the email receipt as a starting point, which in my case was
Wed, Nov 26 at 1:29 PM. Certainly a gray area, but certainly more work for anyone still trying to get points after email notification or changes on their rewards page. Even the initial offer had disclaimers but would think that any transactions that actually posted with points pending would have a legit argument. For others it would be an uphill fight, regardless of how legit the arguments might be.
While "today" officially starts at 12:00 AM local time in every time zone, when someone in the United States refers to a single, national time for an event or a news cycle, they are almost always referring to the Eastern Time Zone (ET).

YMMV. Spotted this on mobile and desktop. Expires 12/8/25. Up to $250 cashback (up to $1250 spend).

Since Chase Freedom has 5% cashback starting December 1st, you should be able to stack those two together, then pay the remaining payments early to milk the remainder of that cash back.
Does this work on regular PayPal purchases?

Just made a purchase at Best Buy today on Nov 26th but no points pending in my paypal acct. This purchased was about 7 hrs ago. I've seen others on the forum with points instantly after purchase. Weird. Hope it will show up soon.
Do you know if the 20% off was still showing in your account when you made the purchase ? Or had it disappeared ?

Is there a verdict out on whether or not PayPal is going to honor gift card purchases? Or is everyone just rolling the dice and hoping for the best

Nobody knows. People are just willing to gamble. If the points are pending then I'd assume even GC purchases will be fine when the points/cashback is finally available

Received email saying I reached off maximum after only 692$and 34$ purchase today. Way below 1250$ maximum
Is it because total offer limit of 2billion points reached now?

Stored value cards are explicitly excluded in the T&C. Pending points mean nothing. Ppl in here canceled their orders and points still show pending.
