Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I was going to buy a washer, but the delivery will not happen until Dec 8. I am afraid my washer purchase might be ineligible for the promotion because the T&C states ineligible purchases are (1) purchases that are marked as "pending" as of the end of the Offer Period, (2) purchases with Pay in 4 where the first payment has not been successfully processed. I don't think the merchant will charge my credit card until the washer is shipped.
That's interesting. I made a purchase on 25th (day before new terms email). Payment and 1st installment both are still pending as merchant did not accept order yet
Wonder if i should cancel my order? Not sure they will honor old terms

Well, even though she still has the offer, she is not getting any Payin4 or Pay Monthly when trying to check out, so it might be a moot point. It would be interesting if she would get the points that are pending for an order that BestBuy cancelled.
It's safe to assume you won't get any points for canceled orders or even parts of canceled ordered. That's happened to me.

As long as you made the previous one before Wednesday (Tuesday or earlier), then the one you just made should pay out, because 1 transaction is allowed since Wednesday morning under the new terms.

Has anyone confirmed pending points for 'one more' actually came through? I made a single purchase before the email but wanted to make one more, my fear is the points on the second post-email purchase stay pending and then evaporate.

This is a good deal, just extremely finicky. Findings:
- 20% deal appeared on my 'Rewards' section on website or app, but clicking to select it would just spin. nothing showed under 'Saved' offers. apparently this is normal, however...
- the key is that it is then marked 'Saved', in green, on the popup that occurs when you click on the offer in the 'Rewards' section the second time
- for Walmart.com, PayPal Pay-in-4 option bizarrely does not appear unless you first remove PayPal as a payment option, and then add it without the 'remember this payment option' setting
- rejections for 'too high' a Pay-in-4 balance or amount seem common. unlike what some posters say, there is no place in the app or website to confirm what your limit will be
- for me (credit score of about 840), I got 'too high' rejection at $1333, then $1247, but finally got a Pay-in-4 order approved at only $1023. 🤨 so I can't get the full benefit of this rewards offer, but certainly better than nothing
- finally hurdle on the ordering process is getting a card linked for Pay-in-4. I already had a linked bank account and 2 credit cards on my PayPal
- zero of these showed up as existing options for the payment method. there was no option in the popup window for choosing pay-in-4 to choose a bank account either, only 'Link a card'
- I attempted multiple Chase (Freedom, Freedom Unlimited) and Bank of America (Cash Rewards, Unlimited Rewards) cards - all rejected for unknown reason
- finally my old Discover card was accepted! order could be placed
- I was then dismayed to refresh my PayPal 'Rewards' screen and still see it showing 0 points
- however, on my main PayPal 'Activity' screen, I see the $1022 order from Walmart.com with "20450 points pending". so fingers crossed, but hopefully this means the deal is taking effect!

So this is by no means the easiest deal to use, but excellent if you can make it work. I hope my findings about help anyone else struggling with it, especially knowing if it's active, eccentricities of Walmart.com specifically, or card linkages.

"Before" email is not relevant. They said it was retroactive for Wednesday. But didn't say what time of the day or time zone, though.

I had made one purchase around 5 AM Wednesday, IIRC. The email AND the offer both say I'm completed. I still show the points for that early morning Wednesday purchase. I didn't try another other than to verify my Pay Monthly option is still there.

I've done everything mentioned to get pay in 4 for Walmart but it only shows the credit option and I'm not using Chase for any credit cards. I saw the monthly option once but now it is gone. Thanks

Curious who "they? And, more importantly, where "they" said this?

I am not saying the points won't show, just would like a reference

My Pay Monthly disappeared for 8 days after an unusual activity message.

My Pay in 4 disappear 6 days ago after an unusual activity message and is yet to return.
