Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Yeah, I don't know how to make this work. Saved the reward. Went shopping @Newegg. Pay Later. Selected the preapproved Pay in 4. Selected credit card payment method. Some error occurred, and now the pay in 4 option is totally gone (except it's still saved under Rewards). Pay Monthly is still available, but that one costs 29% more. Oh well 🤷
I had the same issue, but FYI, you can do "pay monthly" and pay if off immediately and pay no interest. Though, I'm not 100% sure if paying it off immediately won't affect the promotion somehow.

Looks like people cashed out points from gc purchases?
I still have the offer, expiring tonight. Time to shop. I know chase 5% doesn't work. How about other chase card such as those for travel?
Yes, I cashed out points from GC I bought from Bestbuy (a combination of Bestbuy, Amazon, eBay)

I think I'm going to try this. The offer terms say nothing about prohibiting this

Why does the front post say expire 12/8 but my PayPal offer details says Expires 12/2?

Which one is it?

When you are at checkout and click on Pay in 4, does it show and visual indicator of earning points? I have the offer saved and it's ending in 9 hours. Trying to checkout and am scared to.

I did the apparel 20% offer last week, and at checkout it showed I was earning 20% points before I clicked to confirm the order. Also does the item have to ship before my 9 hours are up?

For the apparel offer, the points didn't show as pending in my account until the order shipped. It would be kind of useless to order now if that's the case

I just checked and my points are already pending less than an hour after the transaction and immediately paying it off. FYI, it does seem you can only pay it off with a debit card or checking account, no credit cards.

Got it, that's helpful to know and glad it seems to still work for now. Thanks!

Alright, on eBay I see "Pay in 4" listed but it's grayed out and "unavailable", but I also see "pay monthly" and it's selectable...what gives?
Edit: ah, I see monthly is fine too:
"Eligible Purchases are purchases made using either Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly that are completed during the Offer Period by an Eligible Participant who has saved the Offer and has not previously received the benefit of the offer."
However you pay interest

Did not show any indicator for me. I saw that my points were pending less than an hour after purchase (maybe it was even immediately?), not shipped.

So, this is interesting.

had two transactions. points posted for both adjusted down to 250 maximum. One has been returned, but money has not been refunded yet. the other one I will keep, so probably will get to keep $250 bucks which is not bad. would have been better if it was per transaction, but I cannot complain.

So I took advantage of the 20% with S25U purchase Samsung website on Nov 22 and the points 15497 show as confirmed and on top I am able to Redeem now. I also clicked on the 3% Samsung store thorough the Paypal app and that is still showing as "Pending" 2137. When will the 2137 points move into Confirmed status..is there certain amount of days that needs to pass? Also do we have time limit on redeeming the 20% points as cash?

so weird... I've gotten the email from PayPal, but.... when I go to add the offer, it's not showing up on the rewards tab of my account? Anyone else run into this? Anyone fix it?

Well if anything was unambiguous on the initial offering details, was the "per transaction" line. Sucks that they're doing $250 total.
