Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I already paid in full and cashed out points. Now I will likely need to return one of the items in my order. Will PayPal try to get the points/$$ back from me?
If it is a store you shop at regularly, ask for refund on a store gift card. That should leave Paypal out of the return process I think.

I made three purchases all after the T&C change.
Nov 30 purchase - already got the points.
Dec 1 purchase (gift cards from Best Buy) - still pending
Dec 2 purchase (electronics from Best Buy) - still pending. Returnable until Jan 15.

I have some time to wait. If I don't get the points in time, I will have to return the 3rd order :|
Does all 3 purchases show as 20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with Paypal in you Rewards Activity?

interesting. I had a bunch of orders paid out, including quite a few after 11/22 - but I have a couple 11/22 transactions that are still pending as well...
Do they show point amount, or just say points pending? Where are they from?

They show the correct amount pending, same place as the other orders that have already been paid out. It's like they just skipped over these when paying out. Still pending as of today.

Mine still say pending points from November 24th, but no amount. I think it is an issue between Home Depot and Paypal's system reporting.

Just checking in, I got my initial $250 back but after that points/rewards pending. This standard for everyone else? This is before they changed the terms. Anyway to get them to approve those last points?

I called PayPal this morning. The rep I spoke to said that once you have the points (I'm assuming not still pending), they will not remove them from your balance even if you return the item you earned the points on.

But did they happen to mention anything about the pending points and if/when they would post and be able to cash out? I think that is the bigger issue...

Doesn't matter what any rep says. They don't know either. It can take up to 90 days is what people need to understand. Just cause some get their points early doesn't mean everyone will. I would just keep waiting patiently.

I placed only one order and it was after the terms were changed, so I didn't ask about that

I also have an issue with a Home Depot purchase not coming through, PayPal (Honey) support told me they should have gone through by December 11th.

Only one of the purchase points posted - the other two have been pending for 2-3 weeks - is this normal?
