Unfortunately they are not indestructible and if you drop them on a very hard surface, like tile or a stone countertop, they tend to shatter with pieces flying everywhere. That is not fun to clean up.
Yours are not shatterproof. When they break they make so many small sharp particles they are dangerous, especially if you have pets/kids in the house. I'll stick with Corelle, they are beyond durable and if they break (in the most extreme situation) they don't shatter into little shards.

They are very hard to break in general and if they do break, they are in large pieces, easy to pick up and throw out. Not into little shards that make them very dangerous to walk on by accident.
Both were TESTED and they are similar, so you are WRONG. In fact, it was the CORELLE that shattered into splinters and NOT the Ikea brand. See, that is what happens when you make assumptions or basically fabricate a narrative based on nothing actually real or true. You probably assumed it was better due to the branding.

Been using Corelle dishes for years, never had that issue, ever.
