For 3D printer newbies. You need NOTHING else from Bambu labs. You can buy way cheaper filaments from Aliexpress with the comparable quality. I would recommend getting a 10 pack multi-color filaments liket his deal which should cost you ~$6 per 1Kg.

My son had been begging us to get him a 3d printer. Went from $200 A1 mini from his own pocket to dad jumping in on this action 😅. Let the random printing begin

A couple recommended items for new 3D print users.

3D model burr cleanup tool set and hotend cleaner:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CS6MLCWK

Jewelers pliers set for cleaning up models and removing supports.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PZ58BWJ

Air tight (waterproof) sealed container drybox for filament storage:
https://www.menards.com/main/stor...-12667.htm

Rechargeable Eva-Dry Dessicant for drybox:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Eva-D.../202847325

PETG is more durable than using PLA but also absorbs moisture more quickly. Most filaments recommend drying before printing. Once the filament is dry you can store filament in a drybox and you don't have to dry it again for the next printing.

I received the 20% notification when I open PayPal website. But when I save offer, my account doesn't show any offer saved.

Is anyone concerned that this will be another trinket factory lying around in their garage? I like making things but I can only think of 1 or 2 things that I want to print and not sure if it is worth spending $900.
look for a local library that offers printing services, you'll save time and money. owning a printer is only useful if you enjoy the hobby of printing things or have another hobby that requires you to make parts frequently,

Best Buy also has it. Should I buy from Best Buy which has a local store or from BambuLab directly?

I just bought the S1 but have the option of returning it. This would be my first printer. Is it worth the premium buying P2S ~$700 vs Anycubic S1 combo ~$230?
Imo, for a 3rd of the price, keep the S1.

I had read a post on Reddit that P1S would be on Black Friday prices till Dec 9th. Was patiently waiting for the P2S to become available.

I wonder if my local microcenter will offer a similar deal but this 20% cash back deal, I'd doubt microcenter will have a similar dealio.

Just received my P2S from Best Buy. Can't beat that. 20% off and some rewards. Free overnight shipping. Calibrating it right now.

No trial filaments or toy kits. Different foams and slightly faster unboxing comparted to the p1s and x1c. Just got muted in a meeting because I didn't know my mic was on when I joined the meeting. The printer calibration is loud as you all know. Im moving too fast, lol!

Ordered the P2S Combo last night, just found I have the 20% off on PayPal, and the machine has shipped. Now I'm regretting it.
Same, I contacted Bambu customer service on their chat and they told me I'm SOL, they won't redo the payment.

The link seems to be broken, but if you follow the PayPal steps and go directly to the Bambo Lab website, you will get the same deal. Thanks, OP.

This is a solid deal, I tried to go through with a purchase and could not see the "Pay in 4" option that is interest free. Turns out that is not available to Missouri residents, and ONLY MO residents. Literally every other state qualifies. wonderful.

You have to follow the PayPal deal instructions to activate 20% off (may be YMMV but from many other posts seems like many people got it on their accounts). After this you can order this printer (or any other) and select pay with PayPal and 4 installments plan. After you place the order, you should see points pending on your PayPal account.
So you get 20% in points? Not actual cash back?

Damn. Wish I could have gotten a $230 AC S1C! Both are plug and play but you will get better more constant prints with P2S and less headaches. I guess it depends on if you can afford the $700. 3D prints take hours+++ (more time for lower layer height/better quality/silk/etc) so I bought 3 ACs and a P2S. No, I didn't think I would use a 3D printer much but now I'm hooked!
After RK CB 30% the total net for Anycubic S1 combo is less than $230. I'm just worried about parts breaking down and ending up spending more money buying replacement parts or constant clogging issues etc with ACS1 compared to this P2S. It seems like Bambu did a great job addressing many issues from P21 in this P2S. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth extra $700 for all the peace of mind and reliability standpoint.

I am concerned about Bambu's closed system compared to Anycubic opensource options.
