I was able to buy 3 more in store self checkout. All three is separate transactions. The only pain point is that for every transaction you have get an associate to put the activation sticker on Target GC.
Yeah the access code/activation sticker on the Target gift card is new this year. The associate also told me only 1 per person per day so she would only let me buy one.

Where did you hear that question mark these are just good stats to know when I go into the store and provide evidence
I made 10 transactions and all subsequent attempts were denied at by POS with an error that the gift card is not valid.

To clarify, this was separate from the 3 online limit.

To those that went for the $10 for $100 last week and can't do it this week like me, try getting two Apple gift cards at 50 each... you still get $15 target card...I was able to do 3 orders this way until getting cancelled

Heads up, everyone! I bought three Apple gift cards last night at the Norwalk, CA store. When I got home, two were invalid! Apple customer service checked them and found the serial numbers didn't match the codes. They filed a report for the issue for me. Be careful if you buy gift cards there!
So the codes weren't rubbed off. They just didn't match the packaging?

Was it $15 last year also or did it go down from $20?

Update:

On the first day of the deal, I attempted to order online, but the purchase was cancelled immediately because I bought (3) from the previous $10 target gc deal. I figured they limit online sales to prevent abuse by scalpers, etc. Therefore, I went to the store today and bought 5 more physical $100 apple gift cards at the store today 11/24 and got (5) physical $15 target gift cards. Did all this at self-checkout. First, open the Target app and tap SHOW MY BAR CODE, then scan it. Then follow steps below 1. scan the apple gift card 2. Remove the pull tab to expose the upc activation code. 3. Scan this upc code 4. Ask the helper to scan a blank target gift card 5. Helper will place a sticker on the target gc and scan it to activate 6. Tap pay. All said, I learned my lesson, don't get the $10 promo next year. Wait for the $15 promo that goes live right before black friday!

Each Target store has its own rules unfortunately. Mine limits 5 of the same store per day

One of the Target i went to last night had NO $100 or $200 AGC's on shelf. Was told they pulled all of them out because they lost close to $3K+ in compromised cards in one day. This stuff is scary and not good at all for the society as whole.
Getting a good deal is good enough. Not sure how folks are accumulating bad karmas just few $.

If it makes you feel better I didn't purchase any last week and they cancelled mine for no reason anyways. Got the cancellation email before the receipt even came through :/
Strange why that happened!

Got a bad physical card in store. The code in the middle was scratched off as well as the last few digits of the serial number starting with PBH. Scammers know what they're doing. If getting one in store, just rip off the tag and make sure the codes aren't screwed with. Target doesn't give an eff so who cares if there are a few bad cards on the ground.
The same thing happened to me today. Despite all the effort they put into making a tamper-proof gift card sleeve, it still ended up being tampered with.

anyone else having trouble using the gift card balance to place an in-store pickup order for an iPhone on the Apple Store website? it lets me use my gift card balance if I have the order shipped to me, but I want to do an in-store pickup and it's telling me it's not available as a pickup option when I use my balance
