I used PS4/PS5 controllers but kept getting stick drift (Rocket League was hard on the sticks). I tried a couple other controllers but I didn't like the feel. This one felt right at home.
I see a lot of people complain about not being able to replace the battery/use AAs like you can in the Pro 2. Personally I like the dock situation of the Pro 3 and I don't need AAs because the dock always keeps me fully charged, but if you want the option, IMO the Pro 2 is really good, too.
Button swapping is a gimmick that I don't care about, but it hasn't negatively affected my experience.
