Long story slightly longer and then turned into a question: The tiny little fiber-optic cord that travels from the Samsung Frame to its OneConnect box instead of 5+ power and HDMI cords coming out of the TV itself (which would really spoil the point of these lifestyle TVs) was super slick. What do y'all do instead? Professional install to run all of the cords down inside the wall?

To answer your question, unless your wall is something special, I would just DIY the wall pass through for the chords. It's super easy and quick to do. I did that for the Frame so the One Connect unit is not going to be missed since all the cables will be hidden either way when my new TV comes in.
They cost over 2x so at this price the idea is more palatable.

I bought this TV about a year ago and it is one of the best electronics purchases I've ever made. Like everyone else, I considered The Frame but decided against it because of the external box and extra wires which was a deal breaker for our situation. This TV requires no extra box and comes with a very good flush mount system that works quite well. I highly encourage anyone who cares about the flush mount look to recess their power outlet if possible. Anything sticking out will keep the flush mount from mounting flush.
The Google TV interface is good and gets updated regularly. Got updated yesterday in fact. When we got it a year ago I believe the entire Canvas TV line was new and it showed as the software was little buggy in picture mode. The first update completely fixed everything with respect to how the canvas mode works, esp motion detection and the backlight. Motion detection works best in a fairly dark room but does work pretty well overall in bright conditions also. Speaker quality is adequate and we did not want a soundbar visible so we are just raw dogging it with the built in ones and they are fine. Not great, just fine.
If youre trying to game on this thing or are going nitpick the picture quality while watching a football game, forget about it. If you want a very good canvas TV that doubles as a functional TV when needed, this thing is great.
Note also that the TV comes with a QR code system that makes it easy to push pics from your phone to the TV. Also there is some guy out there that published a whole Google Drive folder of free public domain images that can easily be added to the TV via USB or wireless transfer. Something like 400 additional paintings.
