I have a lot of rechargeable AA/AAA cells. My Eneloops and Ladda (from Ikea) just keep on trucking, the Amazon Basics stuff - in my experience so far - will go six months to a year before they start leaking or simply refuse to take a charge. Considering the price they'll do fine as semi-disposables for around-the-house stuff like remotes, but for anything critical stick to Eneloop.

I dont' see subscribe and save on the 24pack - but do see it at $13, which is still cheaper than the smaller one, per cell.

been using for four years - never had one leak or refuse to take a charge - haven't retired one yet.

I prefer the Panasonic for longevity but for this price will definitely pick up a 24-pack for Christmas Toy gifts needing batteries.

Different batteries I also got that deal those are the max capacity ones with less total recharge count but higher charge capacity

I can concur. It's either Panasonic Eneloop or Tenergy Centura for NiMH batteries or just don't bother.
The key thing to look for in the specifications is "low self-discharge." They use a special membrane and cost a little bit more, but they don't mysteriously discharge by themselves like conventional NiMH batteries do, and hold something like a 95% charge for 1 year.

The Amazon batteries in this deal are a "lite" version of "low self-discharge" batteries. Tenergy sells them as "Centura Lite." They hold 80% charge for 1 year.

Something to keep in mind about the conflicting reports in these comments are that these are now manufactured in Malaysia and they used to come from Japan and some speculate that they might have literally been identical to Eneloops at that time. So people who say that they have had these for years and they are great might not have what you will end up with.

They've never leaked with me, and from probably 100 batteries i've bought from that brand in the last 6 years only 2 batteries (size C) failed after 3 years.
