The pro 2 specifically has been my favorite controller the past couple years and I refuse to buy the pro 3 because they got rid of the removable battery.

I have the 8BitDo Ultimate and I'm considering investing in a second controller. Do you happen to know the main differences between the Ultimate and the Pro 2? One thing I noticed right off the bat is the Pro 2 seems to be Bluetooth connection only, while the Ultimate had the option of using Bluetooth but also has an included wireless dongle for direct connection to a USB port.
For PC users only, is there any reason I should buy this over an Xbox controller?
Hall effect joysticks are likely to last longer and be more accurate than ones in an official Xbox controller. Two customizable back buttons. Built in battery vs. AA. Analog left input is on bottom like a PS controller which is a preference. D-pad is much nicer for 2D games.

Hall effect sticks will typically last longer since they are more immune to drift but they are generally not as accurate as a controller with a potentiometer, which is what Xbox and really all console controllers are. If you absolutely need precision, hall effect sticks are not a good choice.
And to be clear when I say precision I am talking about micro adjustments in things like FPS games that are just not possible on a hall effect controller due to the built in dead zone.

Personally I didn't really like how the ultimate felt in my hands and I don't think the ultimate has a removable battery. Both can obviously be used with a USB cable and have PC and switch 1/2 support and only the ultimate has a charging dock

Will someone tell me if this works with bluetooth classic so it will work in a tesla before it becomes the fifth controller I've bought that doesn't work?

Even the XBOX branded 8bitdo pads don't do it.
