I've tried quarte r cree and no show socks and they were too tight and caused indentations. Should I go longer length to prevent that?

Not sure you're on the right track there Chief. I've bought many "six pack" packages of socks in my many years and never received less than 6 PAIRS. Especially when buying from Hanes.
