GameStop announced a promotion on Instagram for a "Trade Anything Day". for December 6th. In a nutshell you can trade almost anything in for a $5 credit. Limit one per customer. Exclusions include:

Hazardous waste or material, chemicals, liquids
Lithium-ion batteries or items containing lithium-ion batteries
Weapons or ammo
Dead or live animals (Taxidermy items are valid)
Alcohol, tobacco, drugs or pharmaceutical items
Computers (excluding certain MacBooks accepted by GameStop)
Computer accessories less than 100 pounds like monitors, keyboards, keypads, mice, pointing devices and external hard drives (excluding those that are normally accepted by GameStop)
Small, outdated electronic equipment such as portable digital music players, VCRs, and DVD players
Small-scale servers
Televisions
Gift cards and foreign or domestic currency
Jewelry
Sexual and explicit items
Items resembling body parts

Gotta love how "trade anything day" excludes basically everything besides the stuff they already take in on a regular day.

The real question is in cities with multiple gamestop could you use different phone numbers to run across stores? If you have a spouse you could get $10 per store meaning it'd be possible to get about $50 in an hour or less

People have done crazier on here with staples recycling so worth asking
