Breakdown is:
$135 for the plan for 5 lines
$125 in activation fees ($25x5)
$220-240 in sales tax on full price of phones.
You cannot include days purchased but not yet activated any more. And you cannot include days previously paid for another device but used for this one. Or days where the device was temporarily off the line. So it can go over 2 months one way and another but if you only need to go over by just a day or so they will at least usually give you an accommodation by a special $10 a month plan to cover tshortage if you ask.
If there is a big misunderstanding and another imei was actually active fora month of the time then yes it could go over 3 months, because the first two months did not actually get counted. There have been one or two cases of that in all the dozens of cases on the Total subreddit (I read them all). But that is where the count never started, so of course it will be twice as long when finally started 2 months late, unless people file an FCC complaint. But people are conforming to the new rule now and are getting it achieved at 60 days.
Did you have a problem yourself? Definitely file an FCC complaint. Hopefully you should win if you made a reasonable attempt to get it active and keep it active. If you need better contacts at Total, let me know,
But people need to call in right after activating and make sure the imei is starting to count up correctly in the computer.
The new rules are at https://www.tfwunlockpo
But the period is still 2 months. It is just being construed very strictly now. I agree it is too strict but problems are avoidable if you track the count carefully from the start.
There are many many posts of unlocks occurring exactly after 60 days in recent days.
Now another issue is that many special offers are for a fixed period of 3 months now. However, even for those, the phone itself still unlocks after 60 days. So whether people can find a way of only paying for the 2 months, I do not know. If not, I agree that is improper on Total's part.

According to the terms you can qualify with either of the two higher 3 month plans.
I suspect that some stores may try to charge $25 activation fee (unless it is being officially waived for this offer which it may be) and people should not insist on the highest of the two month plan level sunless you want that (it does not add much).
They are emphasizing this deal is only for the weekend and store only.
Quite a few people do not like this deal because of the retained photos for ID (to limit multiple purchases) and there is a port-in needed too.
For those who can stomach these requirements, this is an attractive S25 FE offer in my opinion because it is unlocked from day 1.
But even that is only in some areas. You have to look at the store locator listing for each store and that has a listing of which offers they are carrying. Some are NOT CARRYING these offers it seems, unless they spring them at the last minute.
And the best offers say "Black Friday Weekend only".
The guy could not have been nicer.
There were taxes and the $25 activation fee so it was $150 out the door including first month plan and taxes.

It is really too bad that the S25 FE side of this offer did not get the attention it deserved among either stores or users.....
Yes as U1 models they never could be locked even if anyone had tried or wanted to....
The interesting question is, will they be properly recognized as unlocked from the start in Total's database?
Or will that database try to put limits on them in terms of being moved onto cheaper Total plans.
I have a Total line at $15 a month in another account that I could move it onto from its current offer-mandated first-month price of $50 a month, but will they allow that as early as the second month?
Or will they insist it serve out a "virtual locked period" two month first? Not really locked but Total thinking it is and treating it accordingly? Maybe I will would be wise to go to the $10 plan for the second month just out of inability to know?
But this phone might even show up as BYOD for all I know. On the now-active new account it is just listed as SAMSUNG INC CDMA NEW SMARTPHONE with the IMEI. It shows a purchase of $60 as the only transaction.
I could just move the phone onto another carrier but getting it onto that $15 a month Total line would be best if I can.
