I keep hearing that the problem with these things is that they're too heavy and they easily fall out of outlets. Can anyone comment on that?

I've used a bunch of this type of charger to work out of hotels.
I'd call this one a med-low on risk of falling out.
Center of gravity isn't too far from wall, PLUS the USB ports aren't perpendicular to the wall, so you still have the option of propping something against the charger to hold it in.

Also I don't often use the full 140w, but I've definitely felt how hot it gets when you do.
