This charger is awesome. It will sustain 140W for a while (and even strongly charge my gaming laptop while in use), but will get HOT and then charges at a slightly lower wattage while it cools off.

IIRC, the 140w MagSafe only cap was for the M1 series.
I know for a fact that my M1 Max MBP maxes out at 100W for USB-C.
M2 and newer should be okay with 140W via USB-C.
You do need a cable rated for the power draw however.
