Noob starting to look into fire extinguishers. This weighs just one pound if I'm not mistaken... isn't a 5lb version normally recommended for a mid sized home?

I've only ever bought the 2.5lb ones from Kiddie.
I have 3 but thinking about grabbing a 4th one.

Costco has the large (I think 10lb) extinguisher on sale this month. $30, normally $40. Guys, spend the money. This thing could easily mean the difference between losing your house or not.

This particular one confuses me. The pic on the extinguisher shows A, B, and C, though it reads as if it is just B and C. Is that why it is a "garage" and not a "home" extinguisher?

A 1 pounder is enough for a tiny fire. At least 5 pounds for anything is a must

I need to buy one specially for kitchen but looks like this will not work as it do not support class K fires
  • Class K fires involve high-temperature cooking oils and greases, typically found in kitchens.

Two things. No pressure and the powder settling on the bottom. If it has pressure than just give it a good shake once and a while
