Does anyone know if the 2500 minutes and text are per month or for the whole year?

I assume once you set up an account with infi , it will provide you with a wallet. Load it with the funds needed. Then change your address details to a low tax/fee address and pay from your wallet. Then go change you address details back once payment has processed
Thank you, but I am not able to find the wallet ...

Anyone know how difficult it is to port out from these guys when the time comes?
Request in online chat after support business hours, automated chat agent will tell you to expect a call in a few minutes to complete request. Since support is closed they won't bother calling and you will receive the full port out details via text to the number you made the request for.

It states that if you are porting in your number, your zip code needs to match from the carrier you are porting from to the one on your infimobile account. How does that work if you are using an Idaho address to save on taxes? Also, how do you create an account and fund the wallet before buying the plan? Or does that only work for refills?

On iPhone the setup leaves RCS messaging off by default. For me that seemed to be causing missed texts on groups with Android and iPhones mixed. Settings > apps > message > RCS Messaging on seemed to fix it.

A privacy.com free virtual cc # allows any address, any zip. You don't have to create an account and fund a wallet for new signups. How are they gonna know the service address of your old service anyway? I use a totally different area code than my local one strictly so I can tell when someone has direct dialed the # and when they called via google voice. I blacklist the entire area code as well as the first 6 digits of my google voice # to block spammers who try to come across as "local numbers". I have one time had to add a local pharmacy to my contact list because their # matched the google voice one. The rest never ring and go to voicemail or using spamblocker(free android app from f-droid.org) you have other options like auto hangup on them so they can't leave a voicemail or my personal favorite...keep on silently ringing and ringing so it ties up the spammer's auto dialer the max length of time.

For those wondering, I had an ai give me a random store address in ohio. I created a new privacy.com virtual credit card, set it to 1 time use and added a spending cap of $65. I went through renewal, 12 months for $60. Added the virtual cc and address and would have been done there but my link to my bank had to be renewed through plaid. Did that then redid the info and submitted the renewal without issue. Now when I review my account I see my current plan and then the new "Upcoming Plan Pro Plus" starting in 2026 when the current plan expires. So I'm locked in for another year of service. Total for me was $62.25 due to 2% sales tax and a $0.80 911 fee which is a big difference over the $28 in taxes and fees it wanted to charge me using my regular address.

I'm uncertain if you can stack multiple years of renewals onto the account and not interested enough to find out. I wouldn't get to carried away in case infimobile crashes and burns. $60 for a year's phone service is easy to write off if necessary and if I needed more than the 5gb per month for a while I'd just activate one of the the 3 month mint plans I have sitting around here (some of which are several YEARS old) that I purchased from best buy and target when they were running promotions and consider the infimobile plan a backup account. I also have an obihai obi200 tied to my google account so could use the infimobile # as my "home phone number" if I wanted. My google voice # would be able to ring both #'s for incoming calls and I use the google voice app for outbound calls so my contacts see the google voice # and for texting. Mint has no way to track when those stores actually SOLD the plan unlike if you activate directly with them. Even if a store stopped carrying those kits one could have been found on a shelf somewhere and still be sold. Although you only get 2500 minutes voice calls can use volte and vowifi...you can get a WHOLE bunch of minutes using data calls especially when being on wifi is basically free minutes. If I ever get close to 2500 minutes all I'd do is ask my contacts to let me call them back and then use google voice.

To get an idea of how much data would be used I asked perplexity. The answer was an HOUR of a google voice call uses about 12mb. Given you get 5000mb I really don't see you running out even if you like to stream music from pandora like I do. I'm currently showing about 4.5gb mobile usage with my plan renewing in about 6 days. I've also recently been playing with signal video calls with a relative so that's probably higher than normal for my usage.

From perplexity.ai: how much data would be used by a 1 hour google voice call using vowifi?

A 1-hour Google Voice call using VoWiFi (voice over Wi-Fi) typically uses about 0.2 MB of data per minute. Over one hour, this equates to approximately 12 MB of data usage. This number can vary slightly depending on network quality and speed but is generally low compared to other VoIP services or video calls.

This data usage is significantly lower than video calls and many other VoIP apps, as Google Voice compresses the call audio efficiently.

While what you say totally makes sense I don't think t-mobile is setup to do a hard cap (maybe I've just been spoiled with unlimited plans for to long). I have this plan and will admit I've never gone over the 5GB in the 6 months I've had it but would be curious to know. Anyone else with this plan gone over the 5GB and got a hard cap or just slow data?
It does seem confusing. According to chat with Infimobile:
"Yes, that's right, the 5GB plan gives you 5GB of high-speed data each month, and after you use that up, our data isn't stopped, you'll just get slower speeds at 256 kbps for the rest of your billing cycle."
But I don't see why the 10, 15, and 20GB plans specifically say unlimited data but the 5 GB doesn't.

ive had that happen in previous orders. the sims are all the same, when you activate the sim, you need your order number or whatever. once you enter that, it should activate correctly for 12 months, at least it did for me.

this is pretty good deal. i have two of these sample plans, one expires end of June and the other end of July. If I could order these now and activate them when the other expire, i'd be all over a couple more. hopefully this same deal comes back again in 6 months.
