I've been using the Stylus 5Gs since the 2021. Naturally, most peoples' favorite phone is their newest, but the 2021-2023 were kinda mid. The 2024 is actually a really nice phone. Considering retail was 300, it finally added more things that I wasn't really expecting out of a 300 retail phone. The 2025 now, is my next planned upgrade. This is the first one that retails for 400, which is definitely a bit steeper. It doesn't look like there is much better than the 2024, but I dropped my phone and cracked it pretty bad, so I'm looking to upgrade.
So if you're coming from a 2024, you're probably safe to stay on that one for a bit. But if you're upgrading from a 2023 or earlier, this is a definitely a deal. I've almost always gotten my phones used - like new. Saves 100+ bucks, and it's virtually indistinguishable from brand new.
