The PS5 Pro deal stands out as a strong way to cut the console price with Dell credits, Amex, cash back, and occasional PayPal Pay in 4 savings. The Pro is framed as the best upgrade for 4K setups that want smoother frame rates, extra storage, and a likely final hardware refresh before the next generation. The main cautions are the missing disc drive, possible need for a separate drive for physical games, and some discount stacks not always combining cleanly. Timing and stock also matter, since shipping estimates shifted and the bundle sold out and came back in stock.
The Amex $100 statement credit can effectively reduce the PS5 Pro price to about $549 after accounting for the credit.
Dell orders can qualify for stacked savings using a 10% sign-up coupon, PayPal Pay in 4 cash back, and Dell Rewards points.
Dell Rewards points can post after shipping and can be used toward future purchases, including controller discounts.
The PS5 Pro can recognize an existing 2TB NVMe drive moved into the Pro's expansion slot for expanded storage.
The 10% email sign-up coupon can fail to arrive, requiring troubleshooting and possible customer service follow-up.
Cash-back tracking can show $0 pending or require a missing-cashback form, and coupon stacking rules may void cash back.
The $100 Amex offer may be ineligible when student or military discounts are applied under Membership Purchase Program terms.
PayPal Pay in 4 savings can carry reporting and late-payment risk concerns despite being structured as no-interest installments.

I too was wondering if the shipping estimate was correct - good to know that it probably is not and might arrive sooner. That was a bit of a deterrent for me.

I am opting not to do this because while it should not be reported to the credit bureau, according to ChatGPT, there is a chance it is reported even if paid on time, and some lenders might not be favorable on people who pay in installments. ChatGPT also noted that PayPal might inadvertently report a late payment even if it was paid on time. All in all, probably not worth the risk for me.
