This MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is being treated as a solid midrange Nvidia card, especially for 1440p gaming, local AI work, and memory hungry tasks thanks to the 16GB VRAM. It is also getting picked up as an upgrade from older cards like the GTX 1070 and 1070 Ti, with enough headroom for RTX required games and several years of use. The main hesitation is price, since the $369 tag is seen as only a modest discount versus MSRP and close enough to alternatives like the Radeon 9060 XT or a 5070 to spark comparison. PayPal Pay in 4 and cashback can cut the effective cost a lot, but checkout and promo eligibility have been inconsistent.

Common Questions (5)

  • Uncheck or remove the saved PayPal payment details, then reselect PayPal at checkout; that can trigger the Pay in 4 prompt. Saving the PayPal offer first is also needed, and it must be Pay in 4 rather than Pay in Full to qualify for the 20% back.

  • The 5060 Ti 16GB is described as roughly 10% slower than a 4070, while the 5070 is about 25-40% faster depending on the game and resolution. The 5070 also costs about $100 more, so the 5060 Ti is the lower-cost midrange choice unless you want the extra performance.

  • The promo can show as 20% back in points on the PayPal transaction, including tax, and the pending amount appears right after purchase. The credit may take weeks or longer to post, with some terms showing about 90 days.

  • Yes. The card is confirmed as the 16GB version, and received units were reported as legitimate. That makes it a better fit for newer games and memory-hungry uses like local LLMs or AI workloads.

  • It may work only once now. After the holiday promo terms changed, PayPal began showing a limit-reached message, and some buyers were denied after multiple recent credit applications.

PayPal Pay 4 didn't show up for me. Walmart did not show up as an included store in the PayPal app either for me.
It's a very specific process, which worked for me. You select PayPal as the purchase option from the Walmart payment screen, but you need to uncheck the remember me option. Then you'll see the prompts for Pay in 4, and it will tie in to your PayPal if you are already logged in. Be careful and make sure it doesn't default to Pay In Full. It must be Pay in 4 to get the 20% back. This is all assuming it comes back in stock. Good luck!

I remember the days where a $500 gaming PC was actually doable.
Someone just sent me a garbage pcpp build list and it was still $1200... Almost threw up. I miss the tomshardware sub $300 builds

but cannot find the "Pay later" payment option in Paypal.

Can anyone detail that?

My wife and I both have the $20 off $60 Walmart.com Amex deal (2 per card). Split that 4 ways, and you save an extra $80. The charge will bill as Walmart.com, even through PayPal. I have done this in the past with other Amex deals through PayPal.

Re: Deal availability - I missed the deal when it was first available. Checked SD today, and deal was back for a while, long enough for me to get one.

After that, I wanted to get one under the PP 20% CB deal, but couldn't get BNPL option to show up. I saved the offer on the PP page, and removed/re-added PP option under Walmart. All to no avail. I haven't used PP in a while, so perhaps was disqualified for some reason.

Anyway, one thing I noticed was that the GPU deal came off and back on intermittently while I was trying for the 20% CB. I think it's an ongoing deal, and NewEgg (who is actually selling through Walmart) is rationing its stock so they can last through BF. So for those who missed it, just check back periodically. I'm confident it'll show up a few more times.

Honestly, it's not that great a deal. At $369, it's only 14% lower than the $429 MSRP. We are all desperate because everything is more expensive now--and getting even more so come next year. But Radeon 9060XT/16 at $349 is an equally good choice.

As for 5070, more compute, but less VRAM. I want to dabble in LLMs, and need as much RAM I can get.

Good luck, and good hunting to all SD'ers.

I've not seen a 5070 for $400, if so, I would have bought it. Also, a 5070 is nowhere near 2x the performance. Closer to 25-40% depending on the game and resolution.
Looks like with a mail in rebate and the PayPal Pay in 4, can get a 5070 for $480, then points back in PayPal to cash out $100.
