All the new 5070ti i'm seeing are $750+, and those are for the base models (i.e. not a higher SKU like Red Devil vs. Reaper).

Fully agree - I bought a 5070ti for myself because besides gaming I also use Lightroom and Photoshop - but if I didnt do photography I would have only purchased the 9070xt.

My kids play the same games my wife and I do and I had bought Powercolor Hellhound 9070xt's for their pc's the cards look very nice in the cases - I love the color and design language more than the other cards I have seen. And the results gaming are equal and sometimes better than the 5070ti in same game.

You can still use a 9070 XT for Photoshop. Shoot, I use Photoshop all the time, predominantly for making thumbnails on YouTube videos and I have a 9070 XT. Not this model, but still.

Oh I know I can, was using a 6900xt before this - but up until now I notice a noticable difference in processing and batch work when I use Nvidia vs Radeon cards - I am not a team specific purchaser lol. Either way - purchase has already been made and I dont want to hassle trying to second market sell the 5070ti - I honestly bought it at a decent enough price and have had a few months of solid work and gaming on it so not worth the hassle.

I just merely like the look of the 9070xt a lot more in the cases in our house Embarrassment

I heard that. I don't do as much batch work in Photoshop since I'm not necessarily doing any repetitive tasks, and just like you, I work alone and not in a team environment so I understand. However, I do understand that since CUDA is unique to NVIDIA cards then it would have an inherent advantage compared to RDNA cards which would help in your workflow. I actually was using a 6950XT a whole lot more in Photoshop before transitioning to my current 9070XT. And I agree, it wouldn't be worth it to go through the hassle of selling your 5070Ti in the secondhand market when you're probably going to lose money in the long run.

I wonder how much my 6700 red devil is worth for trade-in...

Ps. Dang, only new GPUs purchased from MC are eligible for trade-in...

Way better deal since people don't have to drive out to MC that's 50 miles away....
