- People will initially make some ridiculous, provably false claims that make Nintendo look bad
- The implication that this was not a cartridge and then the backtracking about cartridge manufacturing prices then and now was laughable
- The implication that 32m hardware units sold globally were "poor sales", potentially even more laughable.
- Folks will then say hey, that's wrong, video game prices have actually been dropping over the years.
- Even the most popular system from that era (PS1 which sold 100m units), the most popular game FF7 released at $50, which would still be $100 today.
- Then instead of making any sort of reasonable counter argument, people just hurl childish insults.
Y'all gotta stop. Seriously. It doesn't matter what Nintendo prices their systems at, it doesn't matter what Nintendo prices their games at or how few discounts they have. This is an entirely non-essential industry, it's not housing, it's not food, we're talking about video games. Video games that... have very clearly gotten more expensive to develop and cheaper to purchase over the years. There are some real issues to find with Nintendo, how litigious they are against people simply showing their content through speed runs and reviews and stuff sure, but the babyish complaints about how they price their products is just not it.
(edit: actually the top selling ps1 game was Gran Turismo but it was still $50)

Would it be smarter to get the switch 1 version and buy the additional upgrade pak for switch 2 so that the game is compatible with both consoles?
