Have to go through walmart and walmart will then connect you to Verizon. You will get the phone from Verizon either way but $300 gift card is only eligible when you start the process with walmart. Hope this helps!

i would never deal with walmart+ ATT with this kind promotions.. or anything related to wireless phone with walmart as walmart is never good at handling customer service with issue i had.. last time i pulled the trigger with iphone 14.. they messed up.. they sent me the wrong phone with different sim card,, so they dont match. and icouldn't activate it or use it.. i was advice to return them ..and problem was returning the phone.. i did return it eventually but it somehow it was lost in transit.. I NEVER PAID FOR IT. as it was never my fault... att put the bill in colllection and i wil never ever deal with att again with such promotions. it was a battle with them calling back and forth every month.. in the end i was slapped with collection because i never paid it.. it was never my fault that Walmart messed it up .. then the phone was never received because it was stolen in transit.. if you face a problem with return or issue walmart is not good at this.. i even went to walmart store they dont want to take it in.. they said to mail it instead.... but its not a good experience when you have to deal with such issue like i had... so beware...

Here is my timeline for 16 pro max deal:Should work for 17 too11/16 5:05 PM Purchased in store11/16 5:09 PM Received the egift card 11/16 6:11 PM signed up ATT account11/16 6:26 PM completed esim swap, Received ATT text and Email11/16 6:49 PM made full payment, Received ATT Email11/17 12:21 AM made unlock request with different name, phone number and email11/17 12:23 AM received unlocked approval11/17 1:53 PM ported out, received ATT confirmation. Account canceled.11/23 11:40AM Received ATT bill $53.77. 11/23 11:55AM $45.67 fees credited
1) What do you mean by esim swap?
2) Why you needed to make unlock request with different name, phone and email - can you please explain?
3) Instead of porting out, can you just cancel the line if you do kot need the new number?
4) I thought even after you pay off, your device stays locked for 40 to 60 days depending on carrier, and you continue to pay for services during that period.
5) Why did they credit $45.67?
6) did you get activation fees waived?
7) Will this scenario be cheaper with Verizon or T-Mobile with respect to ATT?

Got it. Thank you. In this case, may go with target deal to get an unlocked phone from apple and avoid all the steps. iPhone 17PM 256 - $1249 + tax .$15 GC from Target for every $100 and 5% red card. Not $300 but saves al the hassle with carriers.
Is target providing $15 Target GC for every $100 GC bought for Apple, with no caps? I thought it was only one $15 per account or per customer.

Went to 3 Walmart super centers in & around Brandon (FL) in the afternoon today & couple of Super Centers in Tampa picked my call. They all said it is just an online deal & they don't do any contract deals in store. Anyone around Tampa area who bought phone instore, Can you please let me know the Walmart location

Amazon is limited to one. Best Buy and Target allowed multiples.
Can you please give me the target website link where I can read about this gift card promotion terms and conditions, I am unable to find this GC promotion. Do not want to buy $1200 worth apple GC and then target comes back and cancels the Target GCs citing only one per account.

So if you had canceled the line in 2-3 days, all the charges from ATT and or Verizon should drop correct? including taxes, monthly charge, activation etc. does it sometimes take 2nd billing for them to adjust the bill? when I say dont recognize this charge for activation fee, it says the request is denied. I called them to cancel the line after 2 days but it may have taken few more days to actually cancel the line so it may over 3 days on their end.

In that case, I'd recommend doing an AT&T chat (bottom right side box on the att website that triggers a popup chat window), get a reference number for the chat, actively screenshot the full chat, and say that you want to cancel your line and account effective immediately.

You could also say in the AT&T chat that you don't consent to any additional charges and that since you've cancelled the line within the first 3 days you're expecting to be properly refunded like is outlined in corporate's policy.

Screenshotting the whole AT&T chat is so you have proof about you trying to cancel the account within the first 3 days. Legally in most cases, if it's not in writing (or has evidence) then it didn't happen…
(I'm not a lawyer, but it's a pretty accurate saying, imo)

Plus you could use the screenshots as proof if you later on need to dispute the charges with your credit card company.

How do you get both? So you buy from walmart but trade in at verizon? How would that work? Thanks in advance
In the past I have done this at Walmart with decent results. Yes, you mail the trade in to Verizon with a label you must receive from OSL, the mobile phone contractor at Walmart.
