PSA: If you don't need the Hulu and happen to live near a Krogers, you can get Kroger Boost membership (free same day delivery) + Disney included for $50 for 1 year (Black Friday, half off membership price). That's like $4 a month. I already get Hulu for $1.99 with student discount, so I went the Kroger route instead

TY for sharing. Will still do this but it's a tougher call at $5. Hulu is worth $0 to me and Disney Plus is iffy, at best.

In the past this deal was valid only for accounts that were more than 6-months old, and so you had to keep swapping accounts every alternate year. But this year seemingly even accounts that ended membership just the previous day are eligible.

I have the existing deal that is $2.99 a month and expires December 2nd. But this deal expires December 1. If I cancel now, can I take advantage of this deal?? Editing to add: we just booked Disney ticket deal that requires me to have this login - so I can't use another one. Bummer! We go in January, so I guess I could pay extra for two months and then have this deal for the rest of the year.

I can't since I still got premium version that gives you everything plus IMAX enhanced and dolby vision.
Only confirmation I could find is limited to 1080 on Xbox and no Dolby Atmos audio only 5.1 on AD version. At the moment, Disney+ (With Ads) plans do not currently support IMAX Enhanced sound. In addition, IMAX Enhanced sound is currently supported on select Android TV devices from Sony, Hisense, Sharp, and Xiaomi only. Also some stuff available in 3D which I didn't know and a reason to buy the Apple VR glasses I guess Confused 3D: Some content is available in 3D only on Apple Vision Pro*

Also I use an Apple TV which always give me best quality and Dolby Vision etc. I noticed if I use my firestick don't always do that.
Anyways, loss of being able to download stuff to like iPad when travelling to remote area is biggest loss switching to the AD version for me.
