I bought it in Feb, works perfect, response fast, highly suggested, no longer need key.

I also recommend this device, bought on July 9 and delivered following day. Installation took about 10 minutes and setup was simple. Has been bulletproof so far and definitely enjoying this as my first electronic lock purchase. Installed lithium rechargeable AA's from day one and haven't replaced them yet, so going on 5 months.

I currently have a eufy deadbolt smart lock (T8503) and it eats batteries like crazy. They are the CR123a batteries so they are not cheap, and I've tried lithium and etc, but no help. Still have to change them multiple times a year (seems like every few months).
Did a search for recent deals on here and see the one here, as well as this one (eufy e31), and wondering which one I should get. Anybody have any thoughts?

I have it and it works well, easy to use, app is solid and strong. The ONLY issue I have and it is minor is that the fingerprint detection stops working well when the batteries get low.

How often do you need to replace the batteries?

Great functionality, poor battery life. It uses 8 batteries, but now I have to replace it on a monthly basis.

Anker/Eufy recently had major security vulnerabilities exposed, as well as kept user data they claimed not to. They didn't really address the concern or resolve anything. It caused one of the biggest tech platforms to drop them as a sponsor.

I wouldn't use a wifi connected door lock from them.

That video is from 3 years ago...I wonder if they've addressed this since. Obvious answer is 'probably not' unfortunately. Shame, I like Anker products. Thanks for elevating.

I use rechargeable which do not last as long per charge as alkaline, but have a much longer life span. With the rechargeable, about once every three - five months depending upon use.

You may want to stay a bit more up to date. That issue was 3 years ago and Eufy has since resolved the issues. This article is 2 years old and the most recent I could find on it:
https://automatelife.net/has-eufy...-revealed/
That being said, if you do not trust it, don't use it. I have way too much experience with tech to not realize that every single tech company out there has lied at some point or another.
