I was able to get a Red Pocket e-SIM number for $7.78 and successfully ported it in to Metro. Plus Metro total of $165.24. All in with eSIM port-in and Metro is $173.02. Now we wait for it to unlock lol

Phone unlocking in one year is a deal-breaker.

Metro by Tmobile iPhone 16e Black 128GB for $154.99 with port-in. Unlocks in 1 year

Option-1:
Port in and pay $99.99 for the phone + $55 for 1 month = $154.99. No further recharges needed. Phone unlocks in 1 year

Option-2:
Port in and pay $99.99 for the phone + $55 for 1 month + $50X2 for next two months with autopay - $100 Virtual Prepaid Master Card = $154.99. No further recharges needed. Phone unlocks in 1 year

Technically, the price to pay is the same for both options with getting additional 2 months of service in option 2 in return for $100 virtual prepaid master card. The other difference might be additional taxes ... YMMV

Port-in mandatory

What happens if I don't want to continue with the service after 1 month? Is there a return policy or Do I end up with a phone locked for 1 year sitting in my drawer?

Metro's Return Policy: https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/s...turnPolicy

And yes, you need to keep the phone on WiFi or 'In the drawer' for 1 year to get it unlocked. basically you dont need to keep using it on a plan after the first month and it would still unlock

Is porting in a number from Xfinity Mobile valid for this deal?
yes, Xfinity mobile uses Verizon network so it's accepted.

Did you turn off the port blocker under your Red Pocket account? I got the same the message, but once I turned off the port blocker and waited 30 minutes I was able to port-in
I gotta the same issue and I had it unlocked hours before I tried. Contacted redpocket and they said they didn't see a request to port out the number on their end 🤷🏻 ♂️ guess I'll hold onto it for another port in deal within the month

Is there a PIN you enter when you port out? If so, how do you find it?

It's on your online account but if you haven't already bought the number I'd recommend using a different phone provider for porting I haven't been successful with them.

I found it and I'm also facing the same issue. I don't know if there's another option.

There will be another deal. Seems like metro doesn't want to take it cause they know it's a scam on them 😂

Yep, metro is always painful to deal with. I should've went with my intuition and passed on this.

You can also just trade it in at Apple for a gift card.
