You don't have to buy the silver plan on month 2 to unlock the phone. You just have to have active service for 60 days. They don't even have to be 60 consecutive days.

Also, can buy up to two of these phones and you'll get the silver plan on the second line for $30. You don't even have to buy them both at the same time. I bought one phone to unlock and my account now says I can add a second line for $30. Note that you do have to maintain the silver plan to keep this discount.

pretty sure you can downgrade to bronze $35 plan for the 2nd month all it says is 60 days of paid service for unlocking i see nothing about it needing to be the silver unlimited plan for month 2.

yes the phone and tablet work on wifi after the cellular service expires although i highly recommend just paying for a 2nd month of service for the phone so it can be unlocked for use on another carrier. that convenience is work the $35 extra if u ask me

Most users probably haven't had it for 60 days yet. My guess is yes, though. We'll have to wait and see.

PSA: the TCL tablet has some pretty serious bloatware baked in-- disabling in settings or ADB only lasts until next reboot. My current solution was installing a policy manager (look up the free one available from Google) to set them as suspended apps.
You could also try setting the offending apps to "0 mins" in digital wellbeing but I'm not sure how secure that method is.

Got the error saying the order couldn't be processed but tried again in incognito and it worked. In for just the phone because I really don't think the tablet is worth it. Will downgrade the plan in a month to get it unlocked. It'll be a nice backup or emergency phone.

Tablet is called e-reader. But the way the pixel / display. The text is gives me a unsettling feeling. Enough to give me motion sickness. Pitty when it's all about reading. There are some other review on it, but for kids. Its great. They probably be on YouTube anyways. Here is the gpu score
