This release has not one, but two "special edition" type labels: "Director's Definitive Edition" and, right below it, "Ultimate Collector's Edition" to identify how awesome this version of the movie is. The irony is this is the only 4K UHD release of the movie, and as far as I know there are no plans for another. With the hype "edition" labels, the studio has kind of backed themselves into a corner when it comes to future even-more-special-edition releases.
Typically mega blockbusters, such as this (widely known as a top 10 best action/crime saga film ever) will get multiple re-releases with ever-escalating marketing jargon to convince you why you it's better than the last one. I already own this one and it's great, but it's usually on sale in the $8-12 range.
I incorrectly assumed most of that was implied by my initial sarcastic comment.
