Get the moto power for $80 from Walmart better. you'll have to wait 2 months for it to be unlocked though. It's a better phone than this one.
You assume someone has 2 months to wait. that's great if you can, but some people need a phone to use now or are getting it as a gift for Christmas. "here's your gift, but you'll have to wait 60 days for it to unlock before we can let you use it". LOL.

No I don't assume that, that's why I mentioned it. It's another possible option for those who can wait and want a better, cheaper option.
The Moto G Power 2024 it's just $20 more, and has a 5 times faster CPU, way better camera, double the RAM and the storage capacity. I don't see any reason to get the Moto G Play.

yes, if you want to do the tracfone hoops. Nothing wrong with options, just stating that if you're in a flexible situation, it makes sense. Not everyone can wait that long.

I bought that Moto G power from Walmart. One of the better mid-range phones you can get, and it comes with One year of Tracfone service as well as a bucket of minutes, texts, and some data for use in that year. There is no wait for service, you can set it up as soon as you receive it. The exception is if you're transferring a phone number to the new phone, which could take a few days. The phone is unlocked after two months and then you can move it to some other service or keep using for the rest of the year (or buy addition minutes of talk, texts, etc...).

Yes but for heavy duty use calling/data it isn't cost effective unless you are using it on Wifi 90% of the time. The year allotment is what some people use in a couple of days data wise.
I'm not saying the deal isn't good to wait 60 days for it to unlock, get the phone used elsewhere. I'm talking about someone who needs an unlocked phone NOW to use as a BYOD set up for full use set up with unlimited talk/data/texts. Of if you are planning on getting it as a gift for a teenager or other family member, etc.
I post my share of Tracfone deals and buy some of those deals myself, but there are circumstances where that just doesn't work for certain situations and that's why I post good deals on low cost reliable unlocked phones that have no strings attached.
