If you have a Pi-hole you can still block ads on Disney+, which means if you watch Hulu through Disney+ you can block ads on Hulu as well.

This can change at any time, like it did for Peacock, but it has been working like a champion for a couple years now.

Having experience with Hulu with ads, it's definitely worth it to pay a little more for no ads.
They go a little overboard.
Sometimes the ads were nearly as long as the show I was trying to watch.

What's the caveat with this? The commercial free version never goes on sale normally

Is this the good ad free stuff for both Disney and Hulu
Like this seems like a good deal, I'm just not familiar enough with Disney/Hulu to know if this is really a good deal or not
Not if your were playing $12.98 for AD free version till last month from previous SD deal 🤬but yeah seems to be best atm since they jacked up the price to $18.99 now!

I did cancelled the grandfathered plan last year in favor of $3/month ads version, and I am not happy.
Dang just cancelled mine to get the $3 ADs version oh well they left me no choice I mean was paying like $7.99 for AD free version when it started now up to $17.99 ridiculous the price increases they been having not to mention they cracking down on sharing like Netflix everyone else! Keep getting asked to relogin or get confirmation code all the time now annoying AF!

I'm having the same issue. I have to keep accessing Hulu shows through Disney+ which is missing some content that I regularly watch.
Make sure u log out of both and all devices and using the same email and pass for both will do this otherwise. Should ask u for same login/password for both apps 1st time u login annoying but that's how they have it set up LOL.

The "Spend x, earn x" offers and the Disney Streaming Credit that has to be enrolled in to receive monthly are two different things.

I signed up for this bundle yesterday and received email confirmation from AMEX today that I'll be receiving $10 statement credits for it.
Is there a fukl list for which cards Amex or others have these combo deals?

My annual subscription for Disney+ with no ads renewed 2 weeks ago that I paid in full. I canceled because I was going to signup under another email and it told me I had access until next November. I called them and asked them to prorate the refund, she processed it as of today. Once I got off of the phone I logged back into the app with my existing email and the $15 offer was in my account so I didn't even have to use a different email. Hulu wasn't recognizing me once I signed back up. I had to go into Disney+ on the web, manage account and then under "your other services" Hulu should be listed, click there to activate.
Thanks this worked for me to activate Hulu! Bumping for people to see

Ads in the middle of a movie are annoying, but you with kids needing bathroom breaks, it's not that disruptive. Considering you can get no ads for a third the price…maybe pass on this. However, if you've got an Amex credit of $10/month, it means you're paying $5 monthly instead of free, so that's maybe not much of stretch.

Spend $2.99 and sign up for the HBO Max BF deal if you want "the most intrusive and excessive ads of any streaming service. (BTW, I have Disney+ ads and previously Hulu).
I think Hulu is worse. Much worse.

But HBO is a heavy offender too…

As in an Amex Offer? And don't those typically only last for like 3 months or so?

A feature of the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday (no annual fee) card is a $7/mo Disney streaming credit, and $10/mo on the Preferred ($95 annual fee).

I honestly don't understand how everyone is whining about ads as much as they are. I can't believe what folks have turned into. If you don't like ads or the service, don't subscribe or pony up for the ad free service. Y'all don't need to sound like a bunch of entitled children.

How bad are the ads on Disney or Hulu? Is it between programming or in the middle of the action (like Youtube)?
