New redesigned floss is very uncomfortable feels like plastic vs previous smooth thread like material. Numerous people have complained about the comfort and quality.

My family hates this type. Complains about it cutting them. It's ok to me, so beware YMMV

I believe this one doesn't have PFAS? Can anyone confirm?

Okay, so it's not just me then. My dentist used to give this floss out every visit for a cleaning or if you had to have work done. It's a silky smooth type that gets in between the teeth very easily. For a while now, they haven't given it out at all.

So, I recently had my wife pick up floss while at Costco. Thought it'd be the Oral B Deep Clean silky smooth white. Nah....it was some sharp, plastic, yellow tinted Anti-Bacterial floss or something. Still Oral-B, but not as good. If my hands are slightly wet while wrapping the floss, it comes undone from the curls around my fingers. Annoying to say the least.

I absolutely hate this new Oral-B floss. The only time it "glides" is gliding off my fingers when trying to pull the floss between my teeth. We've been getting floss from Costco since forever, and this is the only floss they carry now. I will need to start searching something new

I bought a huge pack of this at Costco and basically had to throw it away. This floss is straight garbage.
Get DrTung's Smart Floss, or Cocofloss instead.

These don't contain PFAS, which is why they are different than previous ones that did contain PFAS, which is linked to various health risk.

Both seem to be more expensive than Tom's, and that's really saying something. I'd like to find something like Tom's but at the old Tom's price.

Imo, it's worth it. Flossing is good for your dental health, and I'm willing to pay more if it encourages me to floss more.

I have a lot of dental work including crowns and fillings and this results in a lot of seams between my natural teeth and the restorations. Because of this, I used to have to use at least two pieces of floss when it came to the old PFAS Glide.
While I agree that the new stuff is less comfortable, and I still kinda miss the old stuff, I am super happy that this version rarely ever breaks on me and I use way less at a time as a result.
Competing floss types that are woven or fibrous shred horribly on my teeth. Just wanted to share this for anyone in the same situation. Regardless of price, I haven't found anything better that stands up to the new Glide.

I haven't had any issues with this redesigned version and I'm glad there's no more PFAS. Get that crap out of my stuff.

I used to buy the "blue" containers of Glide from Costco. It was a great product. Just recently bought the redesigned white containers from Costco and the first time I used it, it shredded while using, getting stuck between my teeth. Second time it cut me. There was no third try.. returned to Costco. Probably will order a cordless waterpik this Black Friday.
