180 (before fees and taxes) *12 = 2160 for one year
Now, 2160 * 4 = 8640
Over 4 years, without taxes and fees, it is 8640.
Add state and other junk taxes to the total, it is a cool $10k over 3 years you have coughed out as a family 😆😆😆

It's always the larger picture that users do not take into account or aren't allowed to, when they dangle the shiny phones in front of you.

Even worse than that? When you "upgrade" every year or are given a 'deal' to stay with them after a year. That's how they become $$$$$ dollar companies. You become a perennial cash cow for these providers. They depend on your "it's too much to switch" or "they're good to me".

Your best bet is to stick to anything without contract or long term pricing. Yes, upfront it hurts, but the installment black hole will wring you dry. Doesn't matter who you go with.

2160 * 3 = 6480 for 3 years of service. But 4 new phones 1200 * 4 = 4800 already + bonus $200 gc

So $6480 / 4 = $1,620.00, subtract the $1200 value of the phone and you just got 3 years service for $420... $140 / year... $11.66 / month for unlimited. Plus fees sure but I don't see the downside here.

How did you get the $300 Citi Cc cash back from?
He likely had points from prior purchases. I usually cash mine in to be applied to a future bill. While other cards provide higher % back in specific categories, I prefer the ease of 2%, 1% at time of purchase and 1% when paid.

Verizon is trash too. I been on spectrum for 10 months and get the same service as all the others for $30 unlimited a month. I'll never go back to Verizon and def wont go to AT&T.

Yeah I guess Spectrum is the same as Verizon if you live in an area that has Spectrum service and never leave your home. You must not travel ever.

3 years locked phone, won't work outside of Americas, thanks but no thanks
This is just false. Verizon phones unlock automatically after 60 days of service. Your phone will work outside of America then if you want another carrier.

Also Verizon has international travel pass that you can add to this plan for $12 a day or $10 a month (travel pass 3 day perk).

If you want international included in your plan, you'd have to get Unlimited Ultimate.

Please don't spread lies.

With Verizons recent $40 discount on my 4 lines why would I switch my plan when I pay lot less per month for a year for 4 lines with iPhone 14s. It has been 3 years since I have had VZW and it has been great. Not looking to switch phones or plans until at least for another 2 years.

Phones are working fine. Why fix things that are not broken. There is no need for me to get new phones.

Paying 180 a month was like 2015 thing for 4 phones. Not doing that anymore. I have gone through Sprint, AT&T, and VZW and looking to save monthly cellular subscription fees every time along with quality of service. Sprint was good. At&t sucked and VZW has been great. Do not need or want new phones just yet.

So.... only $100 per month more than the t-mobile deal, and locked in for an extra year?... doesn't seem too slick to me.

I've never seen a thread with so much misinformation. The math here staggers my mind. There seems to be a distinct lack of knowledge about what some people are saying.

Unfortunately you forgot about the taxes and fees, which are gonna be steep. Add those in and it's not so great a deal, especially when you consider that you're getting deprioritized data on unlimited welcome. Of course, if you legitimately were going to buy 4x1200 phones, it's not that terrible of a deal, and if you eventually move to t mobile and let them pay off $800/phone of your balance, it might end up being a fair deal.

Verizon welcome plan should be $120 + tax for 4 lines after autopay. I pay about $100 for 4 lines with 2 x iphone 17 PM and 1 x iphone 17 after loyalty discount which is about the same as visible. Verizon phone is unlocked in 60 days, so you are free to use it anywhere any carrier after 60 days, vs T-Mobile locked for 24 month and ATT 36 month. Verizon sometimes offer great promotion even on upgrade, I recently took an offered that verizon take care of the balance to upgrade early, I used to finance 15PM, had about $466 left ( 14 more month), verizon let me get 17 PM no trade in required so I could pass the 15PM to a family member.
