I just bought this GNE27JYMFS yesterday. Head was spinning from all the brands. Mostly subjective, they all suck. Some suck more than others. This one has two evaporators, and thought since it is made in the USA, there should not be tariffs or import disruptions.

I've been staring at fridges for 48 hrs and still haven't pulled the trigger. With only 1 year warranty, these $1300 machines are too expensive to be throw aways

I spent all weekend trying to figure out best deal with Home Depot buy more deal. I'm like this is a pain and headache. I have came to the conclusion that they all are going to have parts from Mexico and China.

Totally. Hopefully you got the 10% Cap1 shopping points for home depot?

I went with the narrower version of OP's fridge at the same price (which was messed up, right? 2.3 cuft smaller, should cost hundreds less), but from Costco, cause of 2year warranty, charged it on Cap1 Venture just to get another year of warranty. Alas, 3 year warranty on a fridge is still rather pathetic, as a family member's Whirlpool somehow shat itself with a freon leak a year after Costco warranty ended.

It's tough. We want to replace our aging Maytag side by side from 2002. The ice selector solenoid (crushed vs cubed) finally quit and the ice door won't close all the way so it's taped shut. But that's an inconvenience. Thing is, any new fridge may not last as long as the Maytag would continue! Shit from Asia coming over here.

I still have not ordered yet. My total before tax on 4 GE products came up to 1749. before tax. Still debating. My CP1 shows 11% but open and look at discounts. It shows 2% for appliances. I don't know how good or bad CP1 is about extended warranty on items.
