You must also buy a year of service at $180. Unlocks after 60 days.

The Fi deal is $399 after $500 in 24 bill credits and a Pixel Watch 4 for $0 after $150 in 24 bill credits. Fi is $25/mo and you are locked in for essentially 2 years.

In the long term, Fi wins out by $100 on the phone. You get a pixel 4 watch that you can keep or sell for ~$200. So say about $300 in value better, but you probably pay $240 more for Fi service over 2 years on a family plan (most people) compared to Mint.

So the Fi deal is slightly better, especially if you wanted the Pixel 4 Watch, but the Mint deal is far more flexible with less carrier lock-in for just the phone.

Either way, you need to be comfortable with T-Mobile MVNO service.

You could also just use Mint to get the device for less than anywhere else if you are willing to wait up days for the unlock.

So it's $679 with an annual plan? Gee...and it has been for a while. It WAS $579 with an annual plan. Now it's $100 MORE. This is not a deal worth posting.

What's the best deal right now on an iPhone or Pixel 10 or something similar? As far as I can tell it's the Visible Pro+ deal for a Pixel 10 for $450 and 1 year of service.
I'm OK bundling it with 1 year service as my current plan is about to expire soon.

Yes, this deal is for new customers only. It's in the fine print on the page; I also reached out to mint support and they confirmed I could not replace my device via this deal w/o getting a new number.

If you value the service at $33/mo which you can get for BYOD, then you are essentially getting the phone for $54. But even if you value it at $25 or $15 per months, still a tremendous deal.

That's probably the best deal on the base Pixel 10 right now.

The Pixel 10 and 10 Pro XL are very different phones. At Mint the 10 Pro XL with a year unlimited plan is $679. Obviously the plain 10 is cheaper, but there is a reason for that. Typically, the Pro XL is about $400 more. It's: larger and can charge faster, has a larger battery, has more RAM, more storage, and the cameras are much better all around. So know what you are getting. 😃

Hmmm after your comment I checked the sold prices on eBay and it seems like the Pro XL goes for about $850 and the Pixel 10 goes for about $600. That's a $250 difference not a $400 difference which makes the Mint deal for the Pro XL and the Visible deal for the regular Pixel 10 about the same?

Isn't Fi $35/mo for the Essentials plan? I don't believe you're eligible for the plan discount if you take the device promotion. That's $420 per year compared to $180 for Mint.
Side note: I think you can get $60 off using a Fi referral.
The carrier lock-in over 2 years is the big hidden cost if you usually trade in every year like me.

I'm also deciding between the Visible and Mint deals. I agree that the value is pretty similar - it's more if I'm willing to pay extra for the Pro XL. Two more things to consider:

The Visible plan is better, and I feel Verizon has better service
However the Pixel Pros get 12 months of AI Pro, which is worth something to me
Base phone versions generally retain more trade-in value relative to MSRP. If you like to upgrade often, the depreciation will likely be worse for the Pro
Mint actually tacks on some fees during checkout, whereas I think Visible does not
Visible has $30 Amex offer, ending today

Online, chat, and phone support could not complete the transaction on this deal. Multiple credit cards (after those cc companies said card was fine) and venmo with bank account. The mint system kept rejection. Three hours of my life i won't get back and no order.
