Am I right that this unlocks after 1 month ($20) service? $420 for a new and unlocked Pixel 10 is pretty good.

visible might be better with 1 year prepaid under $500.

Where does it show how long until you can unlock the device? The FAQ only says it's has to remain on their service for a designated period of time

Consumer Cellular doesn't list the exact unlock period on the website, but their reps confirm it's 30 days of active service. It's basically one full billing cycle. After the first 30 days you can request the unlock through chat or phone, and they process it the same day. So just activate the phone, keep service on for a month, then ask them to unlock it and you're good to go.

Possible you might have to pay for 2 months since you have to complete 1 month before they unlock it and I'm not sure if it would cause a problem if you ask them to unlock after your 1st month of service had already ended

Had to dig a little bit to find it on their site, vs relying on google summary (said 30 days for Android, 180 days for iPhone), but here it is: https://www.consumercellular.com/...s#section8 .

only thing that always concerns me in all the verbiage is "Consumer Cellular has the unlock code or can reasonably obtain it from the manufacturer".

Be warned, it's about $450 out the door after taxes, fees, and shipping. And then you have to pay an extra month of service because they first included month is only 20 some days that are prorated. I ended up paying close to $480 by the end of it to get it unlocked when the deal from a month ago came around.
I ended up buying the $350 deal from US Mobile which was much better.

I got this from the last deal. It was a good deal, but the Visible deal is much better. $450 and includes a year of their service. Unless you really need AT&T instead of Verizon coverage, Visible is a much better deal.

plus chase have offer and there are some CB site offering another 50 to 80 so visible ends up being cheaper. rather cheaper enough that you can sell the phone and get the service for free.
