This drill driver product is entry-level. For example, its missing the clutch feature which Imo is a must-have. Also it's single speed and, of course, isn't brushless at this price point. If you're an occasional user it will work just fine, but if u want to upgrade a little and stay in the Ryobi One+ platform, I recommend the psbdd02 which has all those features at $69

Pretty sure you can't get the battery alone for cheaper.

funny that the same tool was on sale 1 or 2 weeks ago and HD kept saying OOS, this one is not OOS.

Yes, variable speed on the trigger. I was referring to the speed selector normally found on top. It doesn't have one.

I just do mostly home DIY stuff, nothing that needs any serious or real power

I have an older Craftsman (CS0938 / 18v) drill and a cheap Ikea drill. At $35, would this Ryobi be any better or worse than them? Ryobi does seem smaller which might be a benefit compared to using the bulky craftsman for small stuff around the house, but would I gain or lose any power in comparison?

I don't know why I bought this. I bought 3 drills yesterday. I am not even a DIYer. 🤣

Picked up this drill a few days https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../326680222 for $49. Ordered and picked up the one OP posted and they're the same drill, only one is $15 cheaper. Returned the other. Repped!

Call me weird, but the little charger is the best part of this. At some point, the bulky chargers become waste, so having a little slow-charger that's not going to take up extra space and can be packed away easily is a good deal. They go for $10-20 on eBay. Honestly, the drill is the part of this package I'm least interested in

not having a clutch is deal breaker. If it gets used as screwdriver from time to time, definitely need clutch to avoid over-torquing screws
