Excellent excellent deal. I purchased a few of these already and scattered them around my house to use as ring camera video viewers.

I miss the $30 code, waited too long

remember the 2024 is 4G only, the 2025 is 5G

and people should be aware you'll never root or bootloader unlock a tracfone, they are blacklisted

There is no Play 2025, and this phone isn't worth the trouble regarding rooting.

Curious, if you're using a lower end smartphone like this for back up or to have a 2nd or 3rd line for two factor or for running ads where people call you what is the real trade off not having 5G? I used these phones primarily in the house on wifi, so the minutes issue is never a concern, nor is the data and I'm connected to a 5G router?

Even if you're having a kid or older relative use this to have service, just trying to understand what value is missing that a 5G would provide this doesn't? Not being sarcastic, truly curious why it's a deal breaker for so many?

69.98-25=44.98. Also, QVC is charging 10.25% sales tax although I'm in an area with 8.25% tax. All other retailers, online or brick, charge 8.25%. WTH? Actual OTD price is $49.59

for people just using the 1500 annual for sms 2-factor etc the 5G obviously doesn't matter in the slightest, I actually use a flipphone lol

BUT

since you highlighted people reselling the phone or unlocking for other carriers, 5G will give you PC/laptop-like speeds on your phone

remember latency on 4G is pretty bad, 5G only matters if it's replacing your PC

personally I don't understand people who use their phone more than a few minutes a day for anything but I am old lol

what I really do not like about tracfones is you can never replace the OS, so you can never escape all the layers of spyware etc,

now that should be a law, not just right to unlock but "right to repair" and actually own the phone

Thanks for the reply! Now, curious, if you're connected to 5G WiFi router, will the speeds on the 4g phone be like the router? (your 5G vs 4G speed comment)

people on 5G routers to cellphone networks can get 200mbps if there isn't congestion

4G doesn't come close to that usually 20mbps so 1/10th

I have good coverage around here, get 300-450 most of the time, now and then in the 200's.

Couldn't get the discount code to work. Is the code only for new users? When I try to use the code, it states an expiration at the end of September (months 7-9) and something about a new user.

With 200mbps, this 1.5GB data will run out in 1 minute.
So really, why bother.

Note that you have up to a year to activate the plans. So you can use one for a year and activate the other one a year later.

That's assuming that you're actually using 200mb. Some of us just use it for shopping, maps, news (with no video streaming), etc. it's nice to have 5G speed even without using a lot of data.

Can I just use/stack the plans on my existing tracfone number?
