It's worth noting this isn't the same as typical fiber internet - it's "fiber-powered". Namely, from their own details,
Xfinity Internet is powered by fiber and connected to premises by coaxial cable
One drawback to this is upload and download speeds are not symmetric - the headline advertised speed is the download speed, but upload speeds are typically significantly lower. For example, looking at the Broadband Facts of the 1 Gig plan in my area, they specify typical download speed at 1170 mbps and typical upload speed at 117 mbps. In the past in different areas, I've seen advertised typical upload speeds as low as 20-40 mbps.

That may be perfectly fine for many people, in which case this is a good deal. But make sure to take a look at the upload speed for your area and confirm that it's fast enough for your needs.

Yes don't log in initially, then look up your address, then choose I'm moving here as a new subscriber. Then contie towards the end and on the screen where it has you sign up for an account, choose login instead. But make sure you cancel your old account, and return equipment. Otherwise you'll be billed for two accounts concurrent.

I'm a current customer and my plan has that bank autopay discount too. But I can still manually pay with a credit card every month, with no surcharge, and the discount remains.

I put the MC50 code into the cart(was added successfully), but my final order doesn't say anything about card? do the ship a physical(plastic) gift card? or is a credit towards the billing ? how that works?

I got the same cancelation request email. I was concerned they would disconnect before i receive the new hardware, so I called to cancel the disconnect. Had to get the first rep (Indian) to transfer me to an American rep to resolve it.
They canceled my old account automatically. Now I am having issues to port out my mobile line, I cannot get the pin because the system says I don't have a mobile line. Spent hours on the chat but still not working.

I think this is limited to 30GB of data per month. Can someone please confirm?
After you go on to the Xfinity website and click on the "Get offer" button for any of the deals it makes you type in your full address, that's where you can see what speed tiers are available for your area (don't login to existing account if you want to see new customer deal).

When you click on the plan, in the "Broadband Facts" section (probably on the left of the web page), click on "Expand label", there is a section for "Data included with Monthly Price". For most people, it clearly stated it is Unlimited.
There is no footnote or anything that indicate it is capped.

It's just like an automated call system. Type "representative" and it will get you to a person.
"Representative" on chat didn't work, so called in and got done in about 20 minutes.

Xfinity has reasonable prices and good, reliable services, but their data cap gotcha is bs. Dropped them 2 years ago and so glad I don't have to keep tracking my data usage for fear of going over the data cap.
Same. Dropped them last year too. This is tempting due to unlimited data

Me and my roommates swap internet ownership every 12 months or so, to keep getting the new customer bonus. The store once told me a new customer is defined as 9 months of no active service.
It's actually only 3 days per Xfinity store manager. So if you can cancel your existing service, can sign up as new customer after 3 days.

So you were able to do this after you logged in? Did it end up creating a second account for you (a new account #)?

they offered me 5-years at $65/mo or 1-year at $55/mo. The 5-year price guarantee is nice, but be aware you're paying an extra $10 per month for it (at least for now). Both are data capped at 1.2TB if you use your own modem - uncapped if you take theirs for 'no additional charge'.

Friends, my (owned) Motorola DOCSIS 3.1 modem is worth it's weight in gold. My download speed is 940mbps down and 41.5mbps up. I think they give you 90 days to register your Peacock account, maybe longer. Always say no to the free mobile phone, promo. After a year you get a big bill. The free line has a $30 activation fee.
Question about free (for 12 months) mobile line - I see few times it's mentioned to not select this, and wondering why?

I can understand for people that don't need mobile line, why to pay activation fee. But, is there any other catch/reason?

I am actually in need of a mobile line, in addition to the internet service, so this is very tempting. I am ok to pay mobile activation fee if it's going to mean full year of free service. And yes, I will be more than happy to move that mobile elsewhere (while keeping the internet service with them) when 12 months expires. Or, will they not let me port out just that mobile line elsewhere?

Also, any experience with Tethering on this Unlimited mobile plan?

I do not have any personal experience with xfinity mobile. Their backbone is Verizon and they use everybody's wifi via Comcast modems in homes. There is a $25 activation fee for the free year of service to start out. They give service credit that zero out the cost for the first 12 months. They backload the service with the cost of the service after 12 months. Read the fine print before accepting anything that is free.

Did you create the second account using the new email and phone number? I also have existing mobile lines and want to avoid the mobile cancellation. Does anyone get this deal by creating a 2nd account using the same info with the mobile line? If you cancel the internet from the existing account, will the mobile be cancelled, or will it be ok since you have another account with the internet?
