This processor still rips in productivity... and it's not like you are getting these specs and a 9950X3D at this price either..

You literally could not build this system cheaper yourself, GPU $1000 (if you can even find one that cheap, cheapest RTX 5080 on PCPartpicker is $1150 currently), 64GB 6400 RAM ~$590 (RAM prices are crazy right now), 4TB SSD ~$250 that's $1840 without CPU, Motherboard, Cooler, Case, PSU

Nope. Guys lets wait for the Ryzen 9800X3D with 5080 video card deal to come back at this price point. Fight your urge, you will thank me later.

For gamers , the extra cache on 9800x 3d is a major win and it smokes Intel U 9 any day for gaming. However for productivity balance this is a better processor.

MC had it at that price with the 9950X3D. I didn't buy it because I can wait another year or two to upgrade, and get better technology at that point.

If you game at 4K with this graphics card, this processor is just fine. The difference is between a 285K & 9800X3D really only show up in any significant way at 1080 with a 5090. This is a perfectly balanced system. I'd rather this be $220 cheaper with a 265K, but it's fine.

All the comments from the peanut gallery are just people watching TechTubers and reading Reddit. I actually own both. At 4K the differences are measurable, but not noticeable.

From a gaming /productivity/music production system where cores help- How does this stack with the MSI Aegis Gaming Desktop – AMD Ryzen 9 9900X – GeForce RTX 5080 – Windows 11 Home - 32GB RAM - 2TB SSD @$ 2199 Fellign this might be worth the extra $300

If I want this for pure gaming. Literally nothing else, how does it look in specs to price? I won't use for productivity
