For those lactose intolerant. This is not a pure isolate. Its a mix
of isolate and concentrate.

If my memory serves me correct, i think a lot of these concentrate powders came out back when there was a whey shortage. That issue has long since been resolved - these products should be sold even cheaper because they are competing against 100% isolates.

Over priced and a bit deceptive from this brand, they clearly want you to believe it is a 100% isolate product. It looks closer to 50/50 isolate/concentrate at a 100% isolate price. I would hold for 6-7$/lbs range for these sort of mixes. 100% isolates routinely go on sale for $10/lbs or less.

Be careful with that one you linked to, it is hands down the worst tasting protein powder I have ever tried in my entire 30 years of supplementing protein. Also contains Xylitol which should come with the HUGE warning on the label as it is gut wrenching for many.

yup, if you like the unflavored 100% isolates that NOW product is great and does go on sale for around $10/lbs. I have learned my lesson on all their Xylitol products though, first time I have ever come across it in protein mixes.

the costco in-store price for ascent is 4.25lb for $39. it's 25g protein in 31g vs 33g. cleaner ingredients too
