Not to mention, adding extra weight with things like this, isn't good for most doors/hinges

Haven't seen one of these since I was a kid at my grandparents. Backscratcher is next on my wish list

These are terrible. I just threw mine away and used the type that is made of cloth instead.

Smaller shoes or slippers will of course just fall off the cracks, while larger or heavier shoes will keep pushing themselves downward, wedging the rack away from the door as the gap widen, and eventually half your shoes will fall through the gap and make a giant mess.

I have yet to see an over the door rack that doesn't damage the door frame and/or door over time.

I have this exact shoe rack and the biggest issue with it is the metal bars. They don't stay in place very well and tend to pop out from their socket of the plastic frame. A lot of complaints about this in the Amazon reviews. I ended up using gorilla glue to adhere the bars in place and that worked great.

I advise anyone purchasing this to use gorilla glue or something similar on the metal bars installation. That will save you the headache later.
