It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Hey, sorry it does say that in their terms and conditions but on the page for the welcome plan it says 3 year price guarantee
But price guarantee only applies to base rate, NOT to taxes and fees, which they can change as they see fit...at least the fees part.

Anybody think google Fi would qualify to port in? If so, which provider should I select when checking out? There is no google Fi in the dropdown list of providers in porting in page ( I do see T-Mobile but google Fi is not. Choose other, how does Verizon know it is from google Fi? Don't want to lose my long time phone number.

Great deal. Got iPhone 17 Pro Maxes across the board for $10/mo except for mine as I went for more storage. Switchin from TMobile to Verizon is going to save $200+/mo

I don't think there is a porting requirement for this deal

Trying to get my parents this deal. They have T-Mobile currently. Can they port their Tmo number in or does it have to be a new number?

Yup it's a risk but the keep and switch has been around for several years.

Also note that the iphone 17 series is not yet on their device eligibility list. It may be several more months before they add it (as has been in the past for newly released iphones).
With the pros costing 1099 and the reimbursement only being 800 for the keep and switch, how many months is the sweet spot to wait before going to Tmo for the keep and switch? Minimum is 90 days per T, but they only pay $800 and V eats away at the $1099 at $30.53 per month...

Hey,
I signed up for the T-Mobile Essentials deal at Costco — $100/month for 4 lines, no trade-in required, and they gave 4 regular iPhone 17s (not Pro). It's only been about 4 days since activation.
I'm now looking at the Verizon promo offering iPhone 17 Pro for the same $100/4-line pricing.
Does anyone know how flexible the T-Mobile + Costco return policy is? Can I return the phones and cancel service this early without big fees (other than prorated usage)?
Would love to hear from anyone who has done a Costco wireless return recently. Thanks!
I returned 4 phones I got from Costco T-Mobile last year. But I didn't open them. Not sure if there any restocking fee. However its Costco! They have 90 days return policy for electronics, like smartphones. I think you could even ask for buyers remorse and they waive all you owe them for these days, no prorated charges. Not sure I can remember all details, but it wasn't too difficult.

Is this "online only" deal? In WA sales tax is 10.1% so that will be approx $500.

Currently I am in Oregon that doesn't have any sales tax just wondering if I can get the same deal in the store.

At that November Black Friday deal, a popup showed up while I was checking out to take advantage of a $200 Verizon Gift Card and so I clicked it. I got an email receipt shortly after making the purchase that said only ONE line received the $200 Verizon Gift Card which is ridiculous. Also, no instructions on how to redeem the gift card. I started a chat with them this morning and after 1 hour and 46 minutes, they created a ticket and stated that they will email me transcripts of the chat which I never received.

How do I request those gift cards and is there a link or code needed to get those gift cards?

Anyone know the # to text with Verizon customer service? I can't get their website chat to work.

Also, how long do you have to activate when these arrive? At least until Christmas?
