- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.
While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.
Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29
It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Can i port out of verizon to t-mobile for one day and port in on a different name to get this deal?
Will that work?
I want to have same numbers.
I guess I should consider myself fortunate that, not only did my order never ship, but I also never received any notification whatsoever that my order was "On hold (pending further action from you)," and didn't even think to check my order status until the estimated time of delivery came and went; so by the time I placed the call (late yesterday afternoon), the CS rep was well versed in how to handle the situation β I only had to upload pictures of my ID (front and back), and that was that β the package shipped a couple hours after getting off the callβ¦ we'll see if it actually gets delivered.

Chat was excruciating for me. I did an order on Friday and thought all was fine and dandy. Later in the day I noticed they sent me an email asking to verify my identity. Well, I got my driver license uploaded but the for some reason the live face recognition would not process my face for whatever reason. I tried off and on for over 30min and then gave up in frustration. Why is buying a phone worse than buying a car? Anyway, I got a notice on Sunday that my order was cancelled because I didn't pick up my devices! OK..good I thought, I'd just do another order which is what I did on Tuesday. Went through chat this time to get the activation waived. Of course had to go through the credit verification again which failed and then had to call the 800 number while the chat person waited. When that was straightened out all of a sudden I got an email saying my order from Friday was approved and to wait for the devices to be picked up. I told the chat rep I didn't want that order to process and to cancel it. She tried to assure me that once the order with her was submitted she would send me to a rep that would cancel the Friday order. Of course I wasn't going to go for that so she gave me an 800 number to call. Then I talked to a girl that had no experience cancelling an order so she was like ago between to another rep in the "proper" dept. Agony at this point approaching 90min. Anyway the chat rep kept saying "no worries" the original order would be cancelled and if I waited too long this "deal" might disappear. I said no thanks I won't do another order before I get confirmation that the Friday order was indeed cancelled. Then the phone rep told me that the other dept rep confirmed the order was cancelled. Well, I asked shouldn't I get a notification of that fact? She said the systems would eventually do that but rest assured it was done. Now the chat rep keeps wanting to complete the order with her with her warning the deal might go away. I aked he to confirm the original order was cancelled and she did also say it was. She couldn't explain why I couldn't see that though. I had a link to the status of my original order and when I checked it showed that my order was still in process. So frustrating to hear from multiple reps that the order was gone yet the status did not. After 2 hours of this I was done. I thanked the chat rep but told her that no way was I going to complete a 2nd order until the first was confirmed cancelled. My Friday order still says processing. Not sure I am going to do the switch to Verizon if this is an example of their support.
"Your device promotional credit* has been removed from your account because the device payment agreement was canceled for mobile number ending xxxx
Atleast this proves it was cancelled. I guess the whole order will update to canceled after they get back the phones, and manually update it to the order marking cancelled or something.
