- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.
While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.
Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29
It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Because right now just got my first bill and I'm being charged $40 a month for 4 lines and a $20 autopay discount. Keep in mind the autopay discount is TOTAL, not per line.
So that means I'm paying $35.00 a line for 4 lines, not $25.00.
And I'm supposed to eventually get the extra $40 I'm paying per month credited back to me in the future??
Should I still go ahead and turn on other 3 phones and complete the port ?
So the sequence of event is I went to the store and we called the porting 888 line and they forced through the porting which stopped my service on current carrier. The store is telling me that there is another active order (the other order which was being returned to sender) until that drops off then cannot do anything.
I called the porting line again after I came home and they see no issue and they are saying porting is completed, one rep said may be wait for 4 hours and it might get activated. Other rep was not able to help.
I am in doubt if i should turn on other phones and start the process. All other 3 lines on port status site showing that it's "In progress". One Rep even forwarded me to tech support and they were unable to help.
Somehow if I am able to download the SIM I might be able to activate but everywhere its asking me to send a text to my phone number which is not active.
Are you saying that I should create a new verizon.com account with one of the other line and then try to download sim from there? Will it not detect that number as connect to my email/login?
Unless you try you can't know for sure. You have to setup the other 3 phones anyway. I too canceled an order ( but it was not shipped as i had it for store pickup). For me i had no option other than activate the phones. My issue was that tmo only removed port out protection on my main phone. So port failed on three. My main phone was stuck in transfer of data from old device to new which showed 3 plus hours . My kids couldn't wait so I figured out the way to do all of this.
As long as port has been submitted for a number as verified by calling 888-844-7095. You can open the other phones for activation.
As soon as the phone is activated, the number is assigned internally in their system. I would not run around to the store in this cold.
Once you have one phone activated you should be good to follow the process outlined
My future ESTIMATED bills according to Verizon should be $128, but first month I'm only getting autopay discount.

I think the process is to create one account. Using that account place 1 order. Then keep adding to it.
Best course would be to cancel the orders immediately.
As others mentioned by folks we should do all 4 in one order ensure that the 300$ vzw GC is added to cart.
Later submit rebates for 4 lines using the link provided.
That will get 4 x 300 GC once approved.
Rebates to be submitted after we receive and activate the phones would be my preference.
I prefer to do a local pickup if you have that option in your city - pick up Typically company store. Order is ready for pickup in about an hour's time
List of stores in your zip

Verizon Company Store and The store will have Express Pickup In-store & Curbside
I avoid retailers (thats just me based on experience with boost cricket, metro lol)
Silver iPhone was oos so had to order other colors
Perhaps most disappointingly, signal strength has been relatively mediocre practically everywhere I have gone – usually 1-2 bars, occasionally 3, sporadically 4 – never long enough to run a full speed test; but never has it been unusable, and latency has been mostly solid (10-30 ms, the one exception being that 7 Mbps test – which hit 100 ms).
All of these tests were run on an iPhone 17 Pro using Speedtest by Ookla to the nearest Verizon test server; I have a Pixel 10 Pro XL with which I intend to run some tests as well, but I can at least confirm that its reported signal strength is relatively in line with the iPhone.
